Tiffany might hate bugs but she’ll be thankful for these!

From November 23rd to December 13th, online musical portal Bugs! conducted their online 2010 Bugs! Music Awards. The results were based entirely off of netizens’ votes and you can bet SNSD took home some awards.

There was a total of 12 categories including “Song”, “Pop Song”, “Drama OST”, and so on and so forth. 110,000 Bugs! members participated in the voting event leading to Soshi win in three categories. No big deal. The awards included Song of the Year, Music Video of the Year, and Idol of the Year. The biggest win was definitely from Song of the Year, with a total of 29,744 votes, basically doubling runner up 2AM’s votes.

The MV of Taeyeon’s OST track was released a few days ago, but the official audio and instrumental versions have just been released earlier today. Coincidently, today is also the day of the SBS drama’s, ‘Athena: Goddess of War’ ‘s, first broadcast.

According to Nate, Mtstarnews, and Fanwonder, “I Love You” was composed by the well known composer and lyricist, Ahn Youngmin –the same person who also composed Taeyeon’s and The One’s duet, “Like A Star”. Continue reading →

The Girls’ Thoughts on Winning Daesang

On The 25th Golden Disk Awards, held in December 9th 2010, the nine girls of So Nyuh Shi Dae remarkably won triple crowns: Disk Daesang (the Grand Prize), Disk Bonsang, and Ceci Inkisang (Popularity Awards).

In the Golden Disk Awards’ 25 year history, SNSD is the first girl group to win the grand prize Disk Daesang. The other female artists who have won Disk Daesang are soloists Joo Hyunmi (1988) and Lee Sooyoung (2004). SNSD also made another history as they’re the first artist to win both Disk Daesang and Digital Daesang (which they won last year with ‘Gee’).

Taeyeon Confirmed To Participate in ‘Athena: Goddess of War’ OST!

According to OSEN and KissMez@tumblr.com, a list of artists who will be participating in the OST of the upcoming drama, ‘Athena: Goddess of War’, has been released and SNSD’s Taeyeon is among the artists. The list on the new article writes, ‘Taeyeon and Kangta’, ‘Brown Eyed Soul’, ‘Supreme Team’, and the Superstar K’s ‘Jang Jae In’.

Because the article puts Taeyeon and Kangta’s name together, it may be possible that the track will actually be a duet with Kangta.

Amusement Park Escapades!

I bet all of you are familiar with this following story. About two years ago, early October 2008, four girls of SNSD were spotted at Lotte World. They were reportedly running and playing around while wearing raccoon masks to cover their identity. Earlier this year, Sunny revealed on SBS “Strong Heart” that the four girls were her, Jessica, Tiffany, and Hyoyeon who went to the amusement park without telling their manager. When the picture of four of them uploaded to the net, the manager reprimanded the girls for being reckless and added, “If you were planning to go, you should have at least put some makeup on.”

Of course, it doesn’t stop the girls to play at amusement park without telling their manager, again. Five of the girls were spotted at Lotte World on July 6th, 2010.  This time they’re wearing the Scream masks instead of raccoon masks.

Golden-hearted Sooyoung Learned about Love from Park SeungIl

On the recent episode of SBS “Strong Heart”, our golden-hearted Sooyoung shared a heartwarming love story of Park Seung-il. As you might have already known, Park Seung-il used to be a part of South Korea’s national basketball team before he’s being diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease which paralyzed his entire body. Sooyoung is known to visit him frequently despite her busy schedules and she even once recommended a book written by Park Seungil on Starcall before.
