Having already wowed SONEs (and the world) with their red carpet appearance at the MTV Video Music Aid Japan event, the girls’ continue to mesmerize with a mind-blowing performance of “The Great Escape” and “Mr. Taxi”.

The upcoming August issue of popular men’s magazine GQ Japan, will feature our nine ladies looking as sexy as ever!
The preview image above has already sent fans into a frenzy with high anticipation for the magazine, and being an avid reader of GQ (oz edition) myself, I can tell you that you can expect no less than STUNNING pictures when the full magazine comes out.
The August issue will also feature an interview with the girls’, as they discuss their packed schedules, their years of training, and how video-sharing website YouTube, helped SM Entertainment launch our girls’ globally.
So if you live in Japan, look forward to the issue on June the 24th!

A teaser trailer for the upcoming MTV Video Music Aid Japan, features a snippet of our girls’ performing a perfect vocal harmonization of “Music of Hope”, the official tagline for the program.

Music does bring hope!
The VMAJ will be held in Tokyo at 6PM on the 25th of June, and is an international music event to benefit the Japanese Red Cross towards their disaster relief efforts.
And remember, Girls’ Generation are nominated for three awards and will also be performing at the awards ceremony.

SNSD‘s first Japanese album, Girls’ Generation, debuts at #3 on the weekly album chart of United World Chart. The United World Chart is a worldwide chart issued every week by Media Traffic, using both sales (digital and physical) and airplay to determine the most popular albums and singles worldwide.
The girls’ first Japanese album debuts as the third top-selling album in week 24 of 2011, behind Lady Gaga‘s Born This Way and Adele‘s 21.
