I didn’t want to have to post this, because I totally noticed it while watching the SBS performance with my sister sometime around 3 am last night. (Don’t worry, I’m not an SNSD stalker, I actually like to watch all the performances at music shows if I have the time)
So although I already watched the performance earlier, I told my self to watch it again anyway because I was going in order of performance.
Don’t you just love CodeMonMon? As many times as this dude has had to change his name cuz of deleted accounts, he always comes back to us fans and gives us something a little more. I’m glad he’s an SNSD fan cuz I can watch such great HD things that he’s whipped up.
Did I mention how much I love how Jessica and Tiffany say DJ together for the performances? It’s totally the part I wait for.
I believe I’m not the only one who disappointed by the not-living-up-to-the-hype choreography of Genie (소원을 말해봐). BUT, after seeing allthreeperformances (and fancams!) of Genie, I actually started to appreciate love the choreography more and more.
The choreography is pretty fluid and definitely not as easy as it seems to be, imo. The legs dance is so cool! Well, it’s Rino Nakasone who choreographed this after all (oh yes, I still believe it’s her. I can see some Beat Freaks’ moves on Genie… even though it’s NOT as awesome and crisp, but somehow Genie reminds me of Beat Freaks’ Womanizer performance on ABDC. I can’t help to think that Genie was like the baby version of it! Or maybe I’m just being weird.)
A lot of people said that the choreo is a lil bit messy, but I think it’s because the choreography is meant to be seen in stationary view, like in fancams… not in multiple-camera view like in gayo shows. This Genie dance cover by “Boy’s Generation” can be an example how Genie is better viewed in stationary mode.

Okay, so while I was out, I THINK I asked myself if the album was coming out today… but then my friends brought up going to Jamba Juice and it goes blank from there. So I completely forgot till now about the album haha. Right now it’s midnight and I’m listening to the fifth song on the album… So I’ll be writing this review on my first listen to the mini-album.
