It looks like SNSD’s Dior endorsement campaign is really starting to ramp up.

After recently appearing, and quite stunningly I might add, in magazines showcasing Dior’s cosmetic range, the girl’s are at it again, this time rocking sleek and classy tote bags for Lady Dior, in the March issue of Cosmopolitan.

The girls’ are ballin’ are they not? God I love this SNSD/Dior collaboration!

Which female idol has the best vocals?

Tags

,

Korea’s TVREPORT, recently conducted a survey asking 223 University of Virginia students which idols they thought had the best vocals. Out of the female idols listed, Taeyeon came in at 2nd with 18.69% of the votes behind soloist IU, with a whopping 66.16% to claim 1st place.

Although the sample group for the survey was limited, and some of us are probably disappointed that our Kid Leader did not come first; there is no denying that IU does indeed have AMAZING vocals, and I’m sure many would agree, including Taeyeon herself:

Rounding out the Top 5 were: Wonder Girl’s Sunye with 8.59%, f(x)’s Luna with 5.05%, and Secret’s Jieun with 4.55% of the votes.

Hit the jump for more Taeyeon-IU goodness!

Lee Soo Man’s shares increase by 20 billion won

SM Entertainment’s President Lee Sooman has reported a 20 billion won gain in value of his shares. 20 billion won estimates to about 18million USD. Moneytoday estimates that his personal stock value will break 100 billion (90 million USD) again.

As reported in the article, a share in SM has a value of 21,750 KRW. Lee Sooman holds 4,041,465 shares amounting to 24.32% of total stocks. The estimated value of his shares are 86 billion KRW (77.4 million USD). In comparison to last year where SM shares were 16.900 KRW each and Lee Sooman’s total stock was worth 68.3 billion KRW (61.5 million USD)

On November 1st 2010, Lee became the first Korean celebrity to break the 100bn KRW with a valuation of 108bn KRW. Since then, the share price dropped gradually and he has sold 500,000 shares for a profit of 8bn KRW (7.2m USD). However, with the national activities of DBSK and the ever-increasing popularity of SNSD in Japan, SM’s value is increasing. With this, Lee has gained 20bn KRW and is set to break the 100bn KRW barrier once more.

E-tribe approve of Soshi

E-tribe has written hits like Lee Hyori’s ‘U-Go-Girl’ and SNSD’s ‘Gee’ and are now the producers of a new girl group called ‘Dal Shabet’, in their opinion however, SNSD still remain as the best idol group.

E-tribe recently told reporters, “Currently, there is yet a solo singer better than Rain and Lee Hyori. In the case of idol group, after TVXQ, SNSD seem to be the only group who can adapt and present themselves perfectly to various different styles”.

E-Tribe commented, “SNSD’s ‘Gee’ was a mega hit song and they continue to succeed with ‘Tell Me Your Wish’, which was totally different from ‘Gee’ in terms of style. Similarly, this happened to ‘Oh!’ and the recently released ‘Hoot’ as well. In order to come up new appearances, ideas and endless possibilities are being explored to develop new styles”.

They added, “In our opinion, after TVXQ, SNSD is the only idol group with variety of styles who could adapt well and perfectly express the feelings of their songs. ‘Thousand Faces’ are the best words to describe them”.

Artist can achieve greatness by combining dance, song and performance in their repertoire, but E-tribe also believes that artists also need a unique concept at the right place and time.

Works produced and composed by E-Tribe include the following:

  • “Gee” for Girls’ Generation
  • “Yodel” by KARA
  • “U-Go-Girl” for Lee Hyo-ri
  • “Naeng Myun” for Jessica (Girls’ Generation) & Park Myeong-su
  • “It’s You” for Super Junior
  • “I Know” by Se7en
  • “Yayaya” by T-ara
  • “Outlaw in the Wild” for Hyuna of 4minute & Nassun
  • “O-IWI-O” for Nassun & MBLAQ’s G.O. O-IWI-O is a response to Gee
  • “Cry” for MBLAQ

The people that wrote “Gee” can’t be wrong 😛
