Having debuted in Japan with “Genie” and reviving the Hallyu Wave with “Gee“, SNSD has been gaining quite the popularity in the land of the red sun.
Proof?
Shoujo Jidai is the ONLY Korean group invited to perform at the prestigious 2010 Fuji TV FNS Music Festival! The festival is one of the major Japanese year-end music shows that features prominent artists all over the country. And by country, we mean Japan and usually ONLY Japan, but this year is a bit different.
On November 15, Fuji released through their official website the list of performers who will be performing this year. “少女時代 (SNSD)” was verified as one of the artists, a huge honor for a group that debuted in Japan only months ago.
SNSD will perform alongside many popular artists including: Arashi, V6, Kinki Kids, Ken Hirai, EXILE, AKB48, SMAP, TUBE, Mai Kuraki, JUJU, Kubota Toshinobu, and Noriyuki Takihara.
The FNS Music Festival will be held on December 4th, will be aired live for 4 hours starting 7.00pm (Japan’s local time). SNSDKorean will definitely be covering the event, so remember to check back soon!

Sky is blue, grass is green, and South Korean army loves them SNSD.

On MBC “Golden Fishery” corner, “Radio Star”, veteran singer Psy said that girl group have huge impact in South Korea’s military forces. He added, “In the army, everything is about SNSD. SNSD is like a religion there”. Is it just me or whenever South Korean male celebrity enlisted in the army, most of them will convert to Soshism? I guess the power of nine already took over South Korean’s army camp completely.
Psy and the “Radio Star” guys also talked about their favorite SNSD members. Continue reading

What is? SNSD’s power level – duhh. Vegeta would probably Hoot his pants if he ever met the girls.
Unfortunately for us, we don’t have tiny capsules that can give us full sized motorbikes and such… but Japan of course, has their own fascination with the idea of convenience. Home to the highest number of vending machines per capita in the world (snacks, drinks, fresh broiled french fries, beer and toys!), Nippon has ‘stores’ lined wall to wall with toy capsule machines – now featuring soshi goods.

Yep. It’s true! According to Suchar12@Youtube, SNSD featured in the program, “Kalejoshop,” one of Poland’s biggest new channel (TVN 24) recently, where the reporter commented that “Girls’ Generation is a group at least as popular as Spice Girls.” The program talked about the girls’ successful debut in Japan as well as them wanting to gain more faithful foreign fans. Not only did the news include parts from their “Run Devil Run” MV, they also included parts of their new MV, “Hoot.” (It must be a sign that “Hoot” will be another hit?)
Now…if I were in Poland, watching the news while eating my breakfast and suddenly, they started talking about Girls’ Generation, I would totally spit out my milk on the person sitting next to me and spazz in shock (jk), but seriously! Its not the first time, the girls appeared somewhere in a different country. It just shows how popular the girls are worldwide~
Herro: The girls were also featured on MSN Italy last month. You can check it out [unsubbed] here! Anyone else think the woman’s pronunciation of the girls’ names sound a lot like Christina’s? Watch from 0:30

As you may know, the girls’ recently held a very successful Into the New World concert in Taiwan, completely selling out and filling the stadium with pink. Following that however, the Taiwanese Media had shifted their focus onto the few lipsynced performances present, rather than the fact that a mysterious Korean girl group broke a record for foreign artists. Unfortunately, that’s not where the Taiwanese media stops with their accusations about snsd. Continue reading

At the Press Conference held on November 2nd, the girls voiced their jealousy for the Sweet Potato Couple‘s screen (and irl?!) relationship. When asked about the maknae’s marriage, SNSD shouted in unison: “We’re jealous!” Despite Seohyun‘s attempts to stop her unnies, the girls continued to tease the maknae.
Seohyun blushed and replied, “I think my unnies are more interested than me as they have been monitoring it so closely for my sake. This happens probably because it is an experience I do not get every day. My unnies have been urging me to hold his hand. I feel really shy”.
Apparently, Seo’s marriage has been impacting her vocals as well. Continue reading

In case you need a refresher, here is the song Taeyeon sang with The One when she was ONLY 15!
