No seriously, SNSD is actually taking over the world. *gasp* xD
With SNSD’s ‘conquest‘ of Japan, we knew that Asia was pretty much taken.
When you see SNSD clips played on loop at the 2011 CES and hundreds of screaming SONEs at SMtown LA you know that something is up in North America.
SNSD on Polish TV?… Europe is being won over…
An exclusive partnership with a globally renown technology company (which also happens to be the world’s largest semiconductor chip maker, based on revenue) and you know global domination is just round the corner…
AND NOW…. it appears that the pink wave has made its way to South America!
Recently, a Peruvian TV station in Chiclayo aired a special kpop program which of course mentioned the girls and showed several cuts from ‘Oh!’ and ‘Hoot!’.
Hit the jump for translations 😛
Translation in english:
*first they talked about SS501*
*Music: Love Ya (SS501)Host: But if you think that only girls enjoy the fever of asian music, you’re wrong
there is something for boys too
I introduce you the Korean Divas:
a group known as SNSD or Girls’ Generation*Music: Oh! (SNSD)
Host: winners of every voting as ‘Best Girl Group of Korea’
with millions of views in YouTubeGuy: yeah, the girls are beautiful…
*report continues talking about other groups
I wonder what continent is next… Africa? xD Oh wait… the pink wave is already growing there too~ 🙂

I’m from Costa Rica and maybe you don’t know but in latinoamerica the korean wave has many fans. Exists a lot of blogs and forums about kpop and of course our girls. This isn’t the first time they appear in Peruvian televesion. In another music program of Peru I watched Run Devil Run MV. In fact, in the most of pollings on blogs in Spanish the SNSD o one of its members almost always win. I’d think SNSD has already began to conquer latinoamerica too. I’m happy this is one of few chances in that I don’t need translation. Here is the clip of Run Devil Run on Panamericana a Peruvian Channel:
wow… glad to see that this blog has readers from all over the world too…. 🙂
hope you don’t mind if i add your links into the post ^_^
I’m sorry for the double comment but I forgot to put this other video of Genie in the same channel:

In South America in K-Pop has a lot of fame. SNSD FTW.
@Bloggers. Have you ever thought of writing in another language other than English? Or maybe have a mirror blog translated to another language? Maybe it could be a tab in another language like Spanish.
Just a thought 🙂
People are welcome to translate our posts to other languages provided they give credit where credit is due. 🙂

http://letstalkabout-soshi.peruforo.org/

Yea I know they exist but I was wondering because they don’t only write news but also columns which are very fun and entertaining. 😛
Plus it could easily duplicate the blogs readers.
Woot ! World Domination by SNSD !
Has any other Kpop group or singer achieved such status or coverage as the girls?
After the girls get coverage people that like it probably will dig deeper and find other groups and at least get known. As far as TV goes I don’t really know.

I’m an Australian living in Indonesia and soshi are actually really well known here. You can buy (pirated, unfortch) dvds of their performances and music videos. Also there’s a number of teen and entertainment magazines and tabloids in Indonesian for sale at all newsagents and bookstores in which there are frequently snsd related articles and posters.
Yeah i hear you.. I’m an Indonesian teenager and i have a friend who brings those mags and tabloids you mentioned to school almost every single week. But i still prefer updating my soshi news on this site than on those tabloids ^^. And the pirated dvds kinda bugs me though 😦
yess, thats so truee…
at first i wonder,,,what happens with these local tabloids/magazines, TV station n some newspaper here they all like hit by korean wave LOL, its not new anyway in indonesia…when im in junior high *im in college now* i`ve already known many taiwan`s, japan`s and korean`s drama, thanks to many TV station, i remember spazzing over the famous winter sonata LOL
but gotta admit that korean`s getting more n more popular^^ these days….
so girls, dont hesitate to come to indonesia ! kekeke
yepp.. But right now k-pop isn’t mainstream yet in Indo TVs.
anyway i think TVXQ was the first idol group that made headlines on those tabloids about 4 years ago or something.. But now it’s SOSHI time to shine here in Indonesia!! Please let there be a SOSHI concert in INDO (or SMTOWN LIVE i don’t mind at all ^^)

World Domination = Global. Literally every corner of our planet Earth
Don’t forget about the Oceania region, Africa and Antarctica. Not to mention the Arctic Circle, the archipelago of the solomon islands and Hawaii, and my personal favourite, the Marianas Trench in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

In every mall here in Peru you will see the girls dancing OH! in the LG tvs… pleasure to the eyes.
they won’t take over America or UK.
sorry snsd.
Actually they already have. The fan base in America is pretty big, just look at the amount of people that attended SM Town Live. As for the UK it may take a while.
SNSD is simply amazing. I can’t help but spazz every time I see them. I just hope they receive the good attention they deserve from all these regions. They deserve to be recognized as 9 beautiful angels, with captivating talents and personalities, who rise from SK… from ASIA.
I want a concert of snsd in my country PERU!
SOUTH of america!!
🙂 me encanta Girls Generation!
They are so beautiful
They were also mentioned in a Polish music magazine for teenagers. Well, kpop is still not as popular as jrock here, but our girls are slowly gaining more and more popularity ^_^
I wish one day, the pink wave will strike SWEDEN~
