This is 8 bit ‘old’ and has been out for a week already, but since it wasn’t posted yet on the blog, I thought I’d share it. A fanmade version of Gee has garnered a lot of attention lately, and was even mentioned in Korean news. More surprisingly, it was mentioned on Kotaku, a very popular gaming blog part of the Gawker network (gizmodo, lifehacker, etc.). Check it out!
cr; Taeng022@youtube, 2uss@soompi for sharing the links.
A total of 168 photos of our girls has recently been released.
They were taken during the 2009 Gee promotional period, however Yoona wasn’t involved in it for some unknown reasons.
Without any further ado, check out these great stuffs under the cut!
zheming : Updated with better quality video at the end of the post!
Recently on the radio in Japan, a snippet of Gee Japanese version was played. Apparently Japan broadcasts some parts of upcoming songs on the radio to build up the hype before the official release. Not really any confirmation as of now if this was an actual leak or just something to get people excited for Japanese Gee. Either way it’s sure getting me excited 🙂 The song sounds super cute (naturally) but I still prefer the Korean version haha. And for some reason all of them sound the same….I’ll give it some time. Anyways, the official release date of Gee is October 20th so don’t forget to get your CD!
Here’s the pretty LQ recording of the song off the radio. Listening to this LQ version brings back memories of getting hyped up for their Gee comeback…

As you may know, those fans received invitations to attend the showcase with the girls’ First Press Limited Edition DVD, “New Beginning of Girls’ Generation” and it was said that an estimation of 22,000 fans would be attending the girls’ showcase. However, about 7,000 fans were at the first showcase. Apparently, the sex ratio at the concert was 80% and 20% male.
At the 1st showcase, the girls performed 5 songs (Genie, Oh, Run Devil Run, Into the New World, and Gee). Fans were said to burst into cheers when the members did something with just the slightest effort. Sooyoung, at one point Continue reading →
