Black Soshi is back! Well sort of…

The Japanese version of “Run Devil Run” has claimed the number one spot on the Recochoku Chaku Uta Daily Ranking, for the 19th of January.

Recochoku Chaku Uta Daily Ranking Top 5:

1. “Run Devil Run” – SNSD

2. “Distance” – Nishino Kana

3. “Why? (Keep Your Head Down)” – DBSK

4. “EXIT” – Porno Graffiti

5. “Kimo” to Tsukuru Mirai – Ketsumeishi

Recochoku is a Japanese based digital music downloading website that specializes in ringtones (Chaku Uta). In Japan, ringtones are immensely popular and for “Run Devil Run” to claim the top spot after only one day of release is a champion effort so congrats to the girls!

Tidbit: Although the Japanese versions of “GENIE” and “Gee” were both released before “Run Devil Run”, this is the first SNSD track to achieve numero uno on Recochoku.

I went to the Intel showcase last night. It was bananas.

I won an SNSD prize. JeTi stood next to each other the ENTIRE time. I can die happy now.

Well, the award ceremony is on again. Organised by Sports Seoul and sponsored by High1 Resort, the 20th High1 Seoul Music Awards will be held on the 20th of January, 2011 at the Hall of Peace, Kyunghee University in Hoegi-dong. It will be aired live between 7-10pm on Y★star and Comedy TV.

dreadtech: Just caught the stream, Opened with Visual Dreams MV, followed by a live performance by soshi doing HOOT. Soshi were wearing an assortment of  grey/silver dresses. Then the conference went underway. Finished off with a LIVE performance of Visual Dreams. And surprisingly, I think k-sones have some sort of coherent fan chant ALREADY!!!!

The cast of KBS drama “Dream High” was seen practicing to SNSD’s “Genie”. 2pm’s Taecyeon, missA’s Suzy, Soohyun, and IU said “Tell Me Your Wish” on the 14th with a dance cover of the hit song. The drama, which follows the stories of various students aiming to be pop stars, have included performances of missA‘s “Bad Girl Good Girl” and “Breathe”. Maybe the next cover will be of Soshi? We’ll keep you posted; in the meantime, check out the fancam of the practice! Turns out the next cover IS of Soshi!

Ring Ring! Run Devil Run Is Back!

On January 14th, Nayutawave Records made an announcement on their official website that a Japanese version of ‘Run Devil Run’  would soon be available for download as a ring tone. Roughly translated, the message says:

Last year SNSD released their introductory Japanese single [Genie] and a second single [Gee], followed by the hit DVD [New Beginning of Girls’ Generation] and their latest Korean album [Hoot]. This year the hottest group, SNSD, want to give the first gift of the New Year! A Japanese version of the Korean hit [Run Devil Run] will make an appearance!! On January 18th a mobile ring tone will be available and on January 25th the full ring tone will be made available via digital download on the website.

This is exciting news! Perhaps there’s a Run Devil Run Japanese single in the works as well?? At this point we can only hope/guess. No word yet on the status of ‘Oh!’. Stay tuned and we’ll be sure to fill you in on any further developments as Soshi dominates overseas.
