and her name was Kim Taeyeon. As a kid, like many girls, she had the aspirations to become something big – in this case, a singer. With her ambition, hard work, and talents, her dreams came true a decade later and she would debut in the South Korean girl group Girls Generation. As a singer, she would be given many nicknames, the common ones being: ahjumma, little kid leader, byuntae, and taengoo. The first 3 names are self explanatory… but how did she get the name Taengoo?

As you probably know, the girls are doing quite well in Japan after debuting with their first Japanese single Genie. Despite the lack of performances and variety show appearances, they’ve already sold 75 thousand copies in the first3 weeks and still holding their own in the top 10 on Oricon (popping in and out of the list depending on the day).

Just a quick update here – it looks like the 2nd Japanese Single will include some stickers!
From my current understanding:
First Press Limited Edition [w/ DVD] – Random card out of 9 & photobooklet (same as genie.. this hasn’t changed). No stickers
Limited Press Edition [w/ DVD] – Front cover sticker
Regular Edition [no DVD] – Back cover sticker
It is noted that not all sellers will have the stickers, so read carefully before ordering!

While Soshi was in Japan dominating all sorts of charts and making fangirls squeal with their debut Genie, it appears that CNBlue also had activities in the land of the rising sun. Because the schedules of the two groups overlapped, YongSeo were able to go on a date for an upcoming episode of We Got Married.

This is 8 bit ‘old’ and has been out for a week already, but since it wasn’t posted yet on the blog, I thought I’d share it. A fanmade version of Gee has garnered a lot of attention lately, and was even mentioned in Korean news. More surprisingly, it was mentioned on Kotaku, a very popular gaming blog part of the Gawker network (gizmodo, lifehacker, etc.). Check it out!
