Yes, not an ocean, but a SEA! In this case, I’m referring to South East Asia.

Recently, some of the biggest communities in the SEA area have created a union known as SONESEA to form a stronger bond amongst SONEs in the region. Similar to soshified, they will plan projects for the girls, organize events, provide news, and spread the love of the girls (but in this region of Asia). Current sites taking part include: mysone (Malaysia), Soshindo (Indonesia), kaskusone (Indonesia), IndoSoshi (Indonesia), Soshivn (Vietnam), and GG-TH (Thailand).

I always think its pretty cool when different fan communities collaborate to achieve something, and now a union has been established~ I look forward to a day when fansites from around the globe can do a super awesome project together that will one way or another influence the world in a big way. Until then, I think there will be lots of pink spreading around the SEA, although SNSD has already like.. taken over Asia before even performing in certain countries. ^o^

Even Will.i.am can’t believe it! Just a couple hours ago, we reported SNSD’s amazing feat of breaking the 30 year gap of a non-Japanese girl group to enter the Oricon Chart top 3. We felt we had to have a solo post for this:

Put cho happy hat on because today, the whole world gets to witness the power of Soshi and Sones– So Nyuh Shi Dae is NUMBER ONE on the Oricon!! This is the first time this has ever been achieved by a non-Japanese Asian girl group, making history in freaking two days!

Gee– #1 on the Oricon; all-kill on Korean charts (Soribada, Melon, Dosirak, Naver, Daum, Bugs, Cyworld, Monkey)

Genie– #10 on the Oricon

Hoot MV Teaser– 1,000,000+ views on Youtube

DVD- #1 Tourai

Hey! Hey! Hey!– Episode with SNSD increased to 11.8% from 9.0% last week

Music Station– Episode with SNSD went up to 9.7% from 8.7% from previous week (which guest starred Oricon #2, previously #1 holder NYC)

We just had to kill it

UPDATE: SNSD just beat their record by reaching #1 on the Oricon with “Gee”! They also hold #10 with “Genie”

SNSD became the first ever Non-Japanese Asian girl group to break into the Oricon top 3! The Japanese version of “Gee” sold 66,000 copies in its first week of release, entering the prestigious weekly singles chart at #2.

It’s the first time in 30 years a female girl group has ever accomplished this feat. In 1980, British girl group “Nolans” released a song called “Dancing Sisters” and entered Oricon at #2.

Last month, SNSD’s Japanese debut single, “Genie” sold 45,000 copies in the first week, rounding up total sales of 97,000. With this, the girls were able to call themselves the first foreign female artist to rank that high (#4) for a debut single.

Just as “Gee” rocketed Soshi into stardom (get it- like rocket into space.. into the stars..)

Ever since the release of SNSD’s new title track, Hoot, the Kpop world has been changed once again. The girls famous for the Gee syndrome, hacky sack dance, and the bright/dark concepts..have returned with a fiercer image. They’re calling it the Bond Girls image.

With the broadcast of Music Station & Music Japan,our girls continues to take on Japan by making an appearance on yet another Japanese music program ‘Hey! Hey! Hey! Music Champ‘.
They performed to Gee and had an interview session.
Without any further ado,check out the following videos and some translations!

Introduction :

Sooyoung : I’m Sooyoung who likes scary rides in amusement park,such as rollercoasters.
Yuri : I’m Yuri who likes takoyaki.
Hyoyeon : I’m Hyoyeon who can’t wait for replies after i sent mails.
Jessica : I’m Jessica who likes to browse fashion magazines
Yoona : I’m Yoona who is scared of ghosts. XD
Tiffany : I’m Tiffany who likes caramel coffee.
Taeyeon : I’m Taeyeon who dislikes tests.
Sunny : Hey hey hey. I’m really happy to meet you. I’m Sunny who likes pudding and jelly.
Seohyun : Even when snsd ages I will always be the maknae Seohyun.

After snsd’s introductions the MCs wanted the girls’ interpreter to introduce herself too.
MC: Excuse me from what generation are you?
Interpreter: middle aged generation.

MC: You guys don’t fight?
MC:　Who hits who?
Interpreter: There are times when they fight, but they don’t hit each other.

MC: Today you have a message from your senpai.
Sooyoung: yes.
MC: Who is it?
Sooyoung: From BoA.
MC: What?
Sooyoung: Yes comments from BoA.
MC: You are really good.

MC: But the best one is the middle aged generation here.

Listen up! It has been confirmed that on the 31th of October,the episode of Running Man guesting our beloved black pearl Yuri would be aired!
With national MC Yoo Jae Suk as the main host of this variety show together with his interesting lineup members,and its unique program concept,where they play a number of games at various popular landmarks in South Korea during closed hours,i can’t help falling in love with it and i’m glad Yuri would be appearing on it!

I recalled that Jae Suk admires Yuri the most among our girls and i’m curious to see their interaction on the show.
