It’s been confirmed that the girls, along with other artists including DBSK, KARA, BEAST, and 4minute, will perform at ‘K-Pop Festival’ Music Bank in Tokyo on July 13th. The event will be taking place at the Tokyo Dome (oohlala)You can check out the update on the official site: http://www.kbsj-musicbank.jp/
Following their senior DBSK/TVXQ,our beloved ladies are set to release their very own “All About Girls’ Generation“.
It will consist of 2 parts, namely the photobook and the DVD. They are rumored to be released later this month and March respectively.
They were in Phuket,Thailand last August for the shoot.
Head under the cut for the previews.
Although this particular performance was performed in August, the video of the performance by the Chinese orchestra, “Nanyang Polytechnic Chinese Orchestra,” surfaced on Youtube just recently. The orchestra performed a medley of KPOP songs, titled “Hallyu Songs of Fame.”
According to the video’s details, the performance was at the YFEST 2010 in Esplanade Concert Hall, Singapore. The performance was arranged by Mr. Tan Kah Yong while the orchestra was conducted by Mr. Mike Chiang.
The “Hallyu Songs of Fame” medley includes many popular KPOP songs and of course, SNSD’s “Gee,” can’t be missing, right? (NO IT CAN NOT!)
Do you think you can guess all the KPOP songs that the orchestra is playing (before you click to see below)?
As you may know, this year was the first time SM TOWN Live went overseas to a non-Asian country, performing in the United States. The lucky city was of course, Los Angeles, aka The City of Angels (Is there a more fitting name for JeTi Soshi?).A few of our staffers have traveled quite far to see the concert, coming from Boston on the East Coast, as well as Canada. (Although some fans came from even further places such as Europe and Australia.. SONEs jjang!)
Ruraldaze has already covered the event with preliminary pictures and fancams, but we wanted to make an additional post with our own fan accounts, pics, and fancams to share with everyone. We’ll try to describe the whole experience for our readers, especially if they weren’t able to attend (although you are welcome to skip all the text and go straight to the fancams/pictures below). We’re a bit late on the post considering it’s already been a week since the concert (T__T), but that couldn’t be helped since school started immediately after the day we got back from LA. Lots of content below though, so we hope it was worth the wait!
First off… OMFGAH TRAX IS BACK!!!! *cries blood* Freaking finally, they’re back and it seems like they really have a chance of making it big as a band.
So a day or two ago, it was revealed that Seobaby would star in TRAX’s latest song, “Oh! My Goddess“. Yes, there is an anime by the same title but rumor has it, the boys were inspired by the anime’s title to write this song. As you probably already assumed, it’s about a beautiful girl; a man’s goddess.
We heard that the SM TOWN Live 2010 concert in Seoul is confirmed to be held on August 21st a few days ago with many SM artists listed to perform like SNSD. According to Casper@Allkpop,SM TOWN Live 2010 will be going on a “world tour.” If you recall previous years, SM TOWN Live Concerts were held domestically in South Korea as well as a few other countries of Asia, such as Bangkok and Shanghai. This year, however, SM Entertainment is gonna take it to the next level and hold one in Los Angeles, California (yes, in the US!). It was said that the one in Los Angeles will be held at the Staples Center on September 4th followed by the SM TOWN Live 2010 Concert at Hongkou Stadium in Shanghai, China on September 11th, and another one Tokyo, Japan, which the date is not revealed yet.

To be honest, when I heard the news, my heart skipped a beat because I never imagined an SM TOWN Live Concert in the states. In the past, I remember commenting on previous SM TOWN Live Concert posts and saying, “aww…i’m jealous. They should have one in the states.” Who knew one day, my wish has come true and I’m sure I’m not the only person who had this wish :] Though I’m from the East Coast and I’m not sure if I’ll be attending because that’s when I’m gonna be moving into my dorm and stuff, I’m excited for those who are gonna be going. If only they had concerts in the East Coast!
-Edit; Sment@Youtube recently uploaded a clip of the artists who are going to attend the SM TOWN Live 2010 Concerts. Check it out!-
We were able to catch up with Tiffany and Jessica, the lovely Korean American ladies of SNSD, while we were in Korea for a quick trip. After spending some time getting to know them and talking to them about their experiences as Korean pop stars, we were amazed at how down to earth and friendly they both were – and yes, they are as cute and pretty in person as they are in photos and videos! We asked them a few questions from you, the Soompi members, and a few questions of our own. Read on and make sure to check out the video shout-out at the end! (( interview + video shout out ….))
