Aiyo, SNSD only got second place this week (2PM won), but never fear as I’m sure they’ll get more votes and WAY MORE album count (as it’s still at 0 atm) for next week. They performed in sexy white again and has cool black/white stripes background! I love how at the end Music Bank always seem to let them stand in a giant line in the front now <3!

SNSD visited SuJu‘s Kiss The Radio and sang “Tell me your wish”, “Ggul Ddan Ji” and old school pop song: Spice Girl’s “WannaBe.” They sang TMYW perfectly as usual, and “Ggul Ddan Ji” was a fun song, and Suju boys were making funny harmonies and we got to see SooYoung’s dorkdance in full blast, courtesy of the camera man. (“SUNNY SUNNY SUNNY I LOVE YOU”)
AND YES OKAY, I knew… I just KNEW ‘Wannabe’ was coming, just like ‘Genie in a Bottle.’ Surprisingly, we didn’t see our usual TaeJeTiHyun line up, instead we got SunFany and SooSica singing it together. It was refreshing really, and for the FIRST time, I was satisfied by Sunny and Soo‘s english –applause-. And here we can really appreciate Fany’s and Sica’s strong enounciation in english, even when singing. Definitely check the clip for this even if you’re too busy to check the other ones!

On http://www.bugs.co.kr, the poll “Which artist would you like to share an umbrella with” was enforced and over 50% chose Jessica, and the results were overwhelming.
Recently, SNSD has been regaining popularity through ‘Tell Me Your Wish’. Netizens made wishes through the song title that “They want to give Jessica the umbrella and get hit by the rain”.

Finally, we got an official statement from SM about the whole plagiarising issue. According to SM Ent rep and SM Entertainment owns the copyright of ‘Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)’. It’s expected as SM always play it safe. BUT the surprising thing is, despite being released months earlier, the Uzbekistan version has no legal rights to record the song.

SNSD, who has been surrounded by controversy due to plagiarism claims, have found that it was actually the female singer from Uzbekistan that used the SNSD without permission, and have received a huge shock.
The song had been recently circulating around the the internet titled ‘Tell Me your Wish Original Song’ and caused a stir among netizens. The song ‘Ruqsga Tushgin’ performed by female Uzbekistan singer Dineyra was uploaded on to YouTube in April, sparking rumors that SNSD were plagiarizing music.
However, it was revealed that it was in fact Dineyra, not SNSD, that had used the song without permission.
Universal Music Publishing Group, who own the rights to ‘Tell Me Your Wish’ stated on the 2nd of July that “We do not know who Dineyra from Uzbekistan is, and we have never given her permission to use this song.” and continued to say, “Dineyra’s version is clearly a case of plagiarism.” They also stated, “We will pursue legal action over this blatant plagiarism.” and vented their frustration.

SNSD’s brand new song ‘Tell Me Your Wish’ is showing faster sales than ‘Gee’ which stormed the music industry in the first half of the year.
According to offline sales reporter Hanteo-Chart, since its release on June 29th the sales of ‘Tell Me Your Wish’ at offline stores surpassed 24 000 copies in just two days. These sales are greater and faster than SNSD’s biggest hit (to date) ‘Gee’ which sold 23 000 copies in its first week. The term sweeping the market seems most appropriate in this case. Hanteo-Chart’s sales reports focus mostly on stores that are registered with them, so the true number of sales are predicted to be much higher.

The power of male fans placed SNSD in the 1st place.
According to a survery at a popular music website Monkey3(www.monkey3.co.kr), SNSD’s ‘Tell me your wish’ ranked 1st in numbers of album page view for the 4th week of June, and 52% of those viewers were male.
‘Tell me your wish’ released on the 22nd has gained momentum, and is currently ranked 1st place in real-time charts, total of 6 days.

I didn’t want to have to post this, because I totally noticed it while watching the SBS performance with my sister sometime around 3 am last night. (Don’t worry, I’m not an SNSD stalker, I actually like to watch all the performances at music shows if I have the time)
So although I already watched the performance earlier, I told my self to watch it again anyway because I was going in order of performance.
