Last night marked the 2011 SBS ‘Gayo Daejun’, the first of 3 big end year Music Festivals held annually by SBS, KBS and MBC. The festival was jammed packed with performances by various artists, including special collaborations that you would otherwise not see on regular music shows. SNSD‘s very own Yoona was one of the 3 hosts for the show while the other SNSD members participated in various other special performances ranging from a “Moves like Jagger” SuperGeneration collab to the epic SMTown Orchestra.
**** WARNING!! Seriously media heavy ****
Last night at the ‘2011 MBC Entertainment Awards‘, SNSD‘s Yuri and Tiffany received the Special MC Award for their work hosting ‘Show! Music Core‘. The YulTi duo have been extremely popular since they first started back in April 2009. While the girls had to leave the program at the end of 2010 due to their heavy schedule, MBC didn’t seem to want to let go of them as they later returned as MCs in October this year. As the longest running MCs of ‘Show! Music Core’, Yuri and Tiffany are definitely deserving of this award. Congratulations girls!

After a successful stint as MC for the KBS Entertainment Awards, Yoona has been chosen to MC this year’s Gayo Daejun on SBS. She will be MCing along with singer Lee Seung Gi and actress Song Ji Hyo. This year’s show will feature a special ballad stage, sexy performances from divas and a dance battle from many boy bands.
It’s great to see Yoona widening her horizons and adding MCing to her repertoire of talents. As with many of the other girls, she is becoming not just a great actress/singer, but an all around and versatile entertainer. Look forward to the show on December 29th at 8:50PM KST. Yoona hwaiting!
