Last night marked the 2011 SBS ‘Gayo Daejun’, the first of 3 big end year Music Festivals held annually by SBS, KBS and MBC. The festival was jammed packed with performances by various artists, including special collaborations that you would otherwise not see on regular music shows. SNSD‘s very own Yoona was one of the 3 hosts for the show while the other SNSD members participated in various other special performances ranging from a “Moves like Jagger” SuperGeneration collab to the epic SMTown Orchestra.
**** WARNING!! Seriously media heavy ****
Red Carpet Entry
SNSD rocked the opening stage of the show with Daft Punk’s “Technologic” and later partnered up with Super Junior to perform Maroon5’s “Moves like Jagger“.
Tiffany also partnered up with K.Will to perform “A Whole New World”
Yoona featured in fellow MC Lee Seung Gi‘s performance. (oh Seung Gi you’re such a fanboy 😛 )
Next was one of the biggest highlights of the night, the SMTown Orchestra! The girls of SNSD had various roles in this epic performance ranging from instrumentalists, to vocalists to dancers. Seohyun was back on her pet instrument, the piano, while Tiffany played “Swan Lake” on the flute. Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, Yuri, Jessica and Sunny performed their rendition of Shinhwa’s legendary hit, T.O.P. and Taeyeon teamed up with TVXQ’s Changmin to perform “Devil’s Cry“.
Lastly, SNSD came back together for a special Remix performance of “The Boys“.

OMG I loved the orchestra… Tiffany’s swan lake, the girls T.O.P, Seohyun with the piano, Taeyeon’s Devil’s Cry, Victoria’s Dance, Shinee, Super Junior, TVXQ, I even liked EXO’s apperance… Btw goodluck to them! Also people have been saying the orchestra thing was actually 20 mins long but shortened it to 9 mins when it was broadcasted… Anyone know truly how long it was?
yes it’s 20 mins long… the one who directed the orchestra said it himself on his blog, though i forgot his name
Damn… This really makes me wanna get out of my country… T_T

TAEYEON’S PERFORMANCE WAS EPIC!
WA~ It was so good! But–does anyone else agree?– I kept wondering what was happening to Sica’s mic in the song: The Boy’s Remix.
Plus at first I thought it was just the regular version, but then I didn’t right away here, “Girls bring the boys out, I want to dance right now…” There was silence and then “B-bring the boys out!” Wow, just wow. Even though it’s weird to hear this, it perfect just like all of SNSD’s songs. All in all, great performance. (I love the A Whole New World with K.Will! Perfect together I tell you! :))
