Today episode of Star King looks like a fun one! It has Sooyoung and Seohyun battle it out on pillow fight, the Long Dari Team (SooRiSeo) as a part of magic show (they’re changing clothes in split-second!), and roommies Jessica and Sooyoung trying to sing Korean traditional song. Ok, I honestly haven’t got a time to watch these video cuts yet… but anyway, enjoy the videos!

Yesterday Korean fans were talking about how the singer for SBS‘s new logo song sounds awfully like SNSD Jessica… well she is. It’s confirmed that all nine members of SNSD sang for SBS new logo song. I’d say that I’m kind of surprised. Correct me if I’m wrong, but among the big three Korean TV networks (KBS, SBS, and MBC), all this time it seems like SNSD makes least appearances on SBS. Like I wouldn’t be surprised at all if it was MBC, you know… But anyway, good for the girls and SBS I guess. 😀

We were able to catch up with Tiffany and Jessica, the lovely Korean American ladies of SNSD, while we were in Korea for a quick trip. After spending some time getting to know them and talking to them about their experiences as Korean pop stars, we were amazed at how down to earth and friendly they both were – and yes, they are as cute and pretty in person as they are in photos and videos! The girls were asked to play a children song on a special electronic drum instrument to which they did successfully. When MC Kang Ho Dong tried to take the drum away from them, the girls resisted. Shortly after, Yuri suggested to the girls that they kiss each other. Jessica said, “Why would you suggest this?” Upon hearing this, Super Junior’s Eunhyuk got happy and immediately volunteered for the kissing, which caused Yuri to walk away laughing.
Thanks to happyvirus @ youtube for this..interesting Star King cut. I have no idea what the hell is going on but it’s a kissing circle 🙂 Btw, I didn’t come up with the post title, just took it off from the video. Lols.

A friend linked me to bunch of interesting threads on Soshified. The threads starter, chikopae, made a deep analysis about how each SNSD members means for the group, and how the group means for each one of them. So I watched Ellie’s vlog about how ‘SNSD should be 4 not 9‘. I love Ellie and her K-pop vlog, as Cindy said, she always has interesting take on K-pop — this one is no exception. I obviously love all the nine girls as one group, but even I once thought about how… ridiculous, for lack of better words, it was for having nine girls on one group. I mean, really, nine girls. Back then, all I can imagine was cat-fights, lots of it.
Ellie said about making a smaller group, actually that was SM Entertainment initial plan. On Ya Shim Man Man, Sooyoung revealed how they were supposed to debut under smaller group, but under a collective group of some sort — namely Yeoja Danchae. I guess it’s like how 2AM and 2PM are under OneDay. Or rather, like how Super Junior has sub-units of Super Junior-M, Super Junior-Happy, Super Junior-T, and Super Junior-KRY.
I don’t know why SM changed the plan and stick to one large group of nine girls. People might say how SNSD would do better if they’re a smaller group and what not. But I have to disagree. I think one of their main charms is that they have nine members, with nine distinct charms and personalities ♥. Plus, it’s not like SM put nine random girl-trainees into the group… these girls went through a lot of audition and performed in a lot of showcases to be a part of So Nyuh Shi Dae.
You guys might have heard how some celebrities said that they were supposed to be in SNSD. The most notable ones are prolly actress Lee Yeon-hee and girl-group member Park So-yeon of T-ara. Well, for Yeonhee and Soyeon’s case, apparently they really were a part of SNSD, sort of. I read this post about SNSD’s roster history at SSF awhile ago, and I think today would be a nice time to look back at how SM Ent came up with the final line up of nine girls. On Pop in Seoul, it seems like they were having their own little end of the year award shows and 2 members of U-Kiss were there to help VJ Isak present the award. The awards that were given out were pretty unique like wittiest award, talent award, star with an edge award, and even a Best Friend award. Well our own JeNy won the best friend award which means even Korea recognize that JeNy is real!!
Congratulation to JeNy and I hope they enjoy their couple ring ;]]

The nine girls of So Nyuh Shi Dae finally held their first ever solo concert titled Into the New World. Seriously, I can’t even think properly right now as I spazzed too much. Even the title was not mine *huge thanks to Aun and dreadtech. you know you guys are precious~*

The concert was out of this world ^^ so PROUD and AMAZED @ the SNSD girls passion, excellence & love for their music & fans! Amazing!
I don’t know about you guys, but I still feel bitter that I can’t be there YET at the same time I feel so happy and proud for the girls. Sigh. The concert sounds like such an epic concert. So far there’s no fancam yet, but KBS just aired a small clip regarding the concert. Watch the news coverage below, uploaded by none other than prot0350.
The girls look like they’re having a blast! Apparently the solo stages are awesome. The girls also having some sort of musical… with kid leader Taeyeon as a frog! LOL (Messy post is messy, but it’s worth it…)
