Hey gang, it’s been a while, but it’s good to be back! Just thought I’d complement Maria’s post by including HQ photos from the 1st Melon Music Awards. Here we have the girls unable to hold back their tears upon their reception of the awards (don’t cry!), only to then light up the stage!
Yes, here comes the day where SM Entertainment releasedofficial SNSD (and DBSK) trading cards (or in their words, “Star Collection Cards”). They sell the cards in 5 packs set and 15 packs set, wherein each pack has 5 cards. The 5 packs set priced at 10,000 KRW (about $9) and the 15 packs set priced at 30,000 KRW. Pre-orders for the cards is available at >>G-market<<, while the official release will be on December 21st, 2009.
As seen from the picture(s), there will be cards with new sport-themed photoshoot; and of course there are cards with pictures from Girls’ Generation, Baby Baby, Gee, and Genie photoshoots. Continue reading →
From Dec 7th to 9th, Star News conducted surveys (Artist of the year, Song of the year,Best male artist, Best female artist,Best rookie and Hottest issue of the year) among variety show’s producers, and summed up the result on Dec 10th. Total of 22 music shows and variety shows producers (PDs) from MBC, KBS, and SBS participated in this survey.
The producers picked Girls’ Generation (So Nyuh Shi Dae) as “Best Female Artist of the Year” with 11 votes. The girls’ hit song, Gee, also chosen as “Best Song of the Year” with 7 votes. SNSD also came in 2nd place for “Artis of the Year” category with 5 votes, losing to beastly idols 2PM who got 9 votes. Continue reading for the complete list of winners …
Our beloved nine won both Digital Daesang Award and Digital Bonsang Award at today Golden Disk Award! LET’S CELEBRATEEEEEE!
Their winning speech for the Digital Daesang Awards, which is the highest award of the show, was quite emotional. It made me all teary too. Just in case you don’t know, this is their first ever Daesang! It’s like their first ever biggest award throughout their career. CongratsSo Nyuh Shi Dae! Ahhh I am so proud for them, all nine of them, for making it this far. Congrats girls! ;___________;
The nine girls of SNSD performed Chocolate Love and Gee (remix) on the show. Five of them also joined fellow SMTown-ers, Super Junior and SHINee, for a Michael Jackson dance tribute. Speaking of SMTown, they pretty much win BIG tonight. Aside from SNSD, Super Junior also won Daesang and Bonsang for Album category. And both SHINee and Super Junior also won Samsung YEPP Popularity Awards. Congrats SMTOWN! In your face MAMA!
Kwon Yuri! It’s the 5th of December in Korea and she is now officially 20 (21)! And you know this day is special because I’m taking time out of my break to celebrate with all you readers on the blog 🙂
