No More Drama

So remember this post, and the possibility that our girls could star in their very own Japanese drama? Well, it looks like it isn’t happening anymore!

On February 2nd, SM Ent had a phone conversation with Money Today Star News and stated that there was no plan in casting the girls in a drama anymore. The representative also added, “As SNSD will be focusing on domestic activities, there is no plan for them to star in drama.”

This could be a good thing since with the girls already have such tightly packed schedules, a drama is something that can be held off for now. I’m sure down the road there will be plenty more offers! I certainly wouldn’t call this a bad piece of news.

UPDATE 01/02/11: “DIFFERENT” HAS ACHIEVED AN ALL-KILL! -mikechi

Meaning that it has nabbed the number one spot on all the major Korean online music portals.

Having only been released a day ago, “Different” rose to prominence at breakneck speed, and has topped the: melOn, Daum, Naver, Bugs!, Cyworld, Dosirak, Monkey3 and Soribada music charts for the 1st of February.

The combination of Taeyeon’s and Kim Bum Soo’s exceptional vocals have been a hit amongst fans and music lovers alike, and no doubt, has added to the immense success of the song. Congratulations to them both!

Fans who are craving for some new Taengoo duets are in luck! The second it hits January 31st (aka midnight), Taeyeon and Kim Bumsoo’s duet, Different, will be released to the public! Let’s start the countdown guys!

Different will be the first song to be unveiled from Bumsoo’s seventh album, Solista:Part 2 (the full album will be released in April). Bumsoo has expressed his pleasure in working with and singing with the little leader of SNSD, stating that Taeyeon has always been one of his favorites!

Update – Added HD teaser that will repeat for 15 mins! (so you can just sit back and enjoy without lifting a finger 🙂 )

We had reported a few days back about the new “collaboration” between Intel and SNSD! We knew a song was going to be released, along with a music video. Details are finally out about this now!

The title of the song will be “Visual Dreams” and will be released via music sites like Melon, Dosirak, Bugs, etc on the 17th! The following day will be the music video’s release through SM’s Youtube site, SNSD’s official website, and Intel sites. As I’m writing this post, a TEASER will be out in about 44 minutes!! Pay attention to this post, we’ll update it as soon as it’s out!

On January 11th, the Oppas (older male figures to girls) and Samchons (uncles/uncle fans to the girls) of SNSD’s Naver fan cafe “Cistus” released a very heart warming comment, stating “We wish for the girls’ success in Japan and hope that 2011 would also be SNSD’s year again. Hopefully they will not suffer anymore injury or illness.”

After waiting for SO LONG, the cuts from Despicable Me (aka Super Bad in Korea) featuring Taeyeon and Seohyun have finally been released! They’re in three parts and I just melted away at the cuteness. Taeyeon’s voice is very recognizable whereas Seohyun’s is a little different but certainly matched Edith’s personality. Now I have no idea what he meant by representing visual but the fact that he’s hit us with this exciting piece of news is enough to get us all pumped. Just in case though, have a little room prepared in your heart for disappointment in case it doesn’t happen. (Not trying to be a debbie downer :[ )
