SNSD have “Come To Play” [English Subbed]

[UPDATE]: Sorry guys, still no fully subbed version yet, but here’s a couple of short subbed cuts (bottom of the post) to tide you over 🙂

On January 3rd, SNSD (minus Tiffany :() made an appearance on MBC’s “Come To Play”. The episode also features Super Junior’s Lee Teuk and Yesung, Beast’s Ki Kwang and Yoseob, and Mblaq’s Lee Joon and Mir, vying for the affection of the ladies.

Although the episode has been out for a couple days, a subbed version has just surfaced for your viewing pleasure.

SoKa strikes again!

Japan’s weekly entertainment magazine Oricon Style, has named both SNSD and KARA as the top two contenders to become the next breakout artists of 2011. Conducted via survey, 500 Oricon employees consisting of an even number of males and females chose KARA as most likely to get their big break in Japan this year, with our girls following in second place (as if they haven’t already! I mean seriously?). Third place went to Japanese idol girl group SKE48 together with sister group AKB48, whilst Japanese rock band Sakanaction took fourth.

Anyhoo, this is yet another outstanding achievement for SNSD and KARA or SoKa, if you will, beating out even some of Japan’s best at their own game.

SoKa!!!

The Japan Gold Disc Awards is a prestigious music awards ceremony held annually, and the selection criteria for winners are based solely on net sales of their records. Therefore, this is a tremendous triumph for both SNSD and KARA having only debuted roughly midway through 2010.

Congratulations girls – SoKa Hwaiting!!!

Thailand, prepare for a Soshi incoming!

Sawadee krap Thai SONEs.

2011 may just be your year, as SNSD will not only be making one but TWO appearances in your country. First up, Yuri, Yoona, and Sooyoung together with other K-pop idols, will be at the Royal Cliff Hotel in Pattaya, on the 17th, 18th and 19th of January. They will be filming for SBS Korea’s New Year Special, and the hotel is offering room packages for fans who wish to stay under the same roof as their favorite K-pop stars.

And now for the big one… Wait for it… MBC will be hosting a special concert for it’s 50th Anniversary in Bangkok at the Ratchamangkala Stadium on March 12th. The “Korean Music Wave in Bangkok” will play host to over 20 Idol groups including SNSD (YulTi will also be the  MCs), so Thai SONEs make sure you head out to show your love and support for the girls and don’t forget those pink lightsabres and balloons!

Just when you thought that SNSD have claimed all that they can from last year in terms of winning awards, topping lists and polls, they have hit back and added another sweet victory to their multitude of achievements in 2010.

On Daum’s ‘2010 Idol Voting Final – Fan Battle’ poll which ran for one week only, SNSD claimed the top spot with 114,428 votes thanks to fans (GO SONEs!). Rounding up the rest of the Top 5 are Kara, T-ara, 2NE1 and Miss A.

As you can see, our girls’ won by quite a significant number of votes so thank you SONEs for being uber supportive of them, and you already know that they will  appreciate it very much.

The girls issued a congratulatory message to the newspaper publisher stating,  “Please spread the Korean culture widely to all over the world” along with autographs from all 9 members.

I am not sure why, but I am always fascinated with peoples signatures. Obviously, Soshis’ is no exception.

Girl’s Generation featured on myx Top 100 of 2010

myx North America, a music lifestyle channel focusing on the Asian American youth community, have revealed their Top 100 songs of 2010. SNSD ranked in at number 3 with “Run Devil Run” making it one of only two Korean songs featured in the top 10, the other being 2PM’s “Heartbeat” – 9PM fans spaz away!

I miss Black Soshi 😦

“Oh!” is also featured on the list at 42.

There is absolutely no denying how “HUGE” Girl’s Generation have become. With each passing year their popularity soars to new heights, and as another year comes to an end, the girls have left 2010 with a swag of achievements and recognition. Daum (a conglomerate SONE) has recently posted an article/interview on their website from Daily Sports discussing the girl’s happiest moments of last year and their wishes for 2011.

What will surely catch the attention and affection of fans (it sure caught mine), was the fact that Hyoyeon and Jessica (along with younger sister Krystal) had purchased a house and a car, respectively, for their parents.

With fame comes fortune and the life of luxury… Yet the members of SNSD fail not to understand the true value of family, and that is why they are angels…
