SNSD recently appeared on an interview for Japanese fashion magazine, SPUR:

I was grinning ear to ear whilst watching this video, even though my Japanese/Korean proficiency is like 0.01% and I had absolutely no idea what they were talking about… the color pink maybe? (Duh lol). But anyway, they are just so cute in this! I mean check out Taeyeon with that mic, Fany ranting and ending wars with her eyes, and don’t even get me started on Sunny (pouting!!!). Oh they slay me..

2nd SM Town Live in Tokyo postponed

Due to the horrific events that have taken place in Japan, S.M. Entertainment has made the decision to postpone the second ‘SM Town Live in Tokyo’ concert, which was scheduled for the 9th and 10th of April, at the Tokyo Dome.

S.M. Entertainment have released an apology to fans along with the following statement on their official Japanese website:

Future schedules, refund procedures, information and other announcements will be made available on SM Entertainment Japan’s official and mobile websites. On behalf of SM Entertainment and its artistes, we pray for speedy recovery and restoration of the affected areas.

It is completely understandable, why S.M. Entertainment would postpone the concert. Not only is Japan in the process of recovery and restoration, but concerns for power supply and the impeding threat of radiation is reason enough to postpone or cancel any large-scale event. Not to mention that it is also appropriate, out of respect for the victims and their families of such a tragedy.

I wanted to add also, that at this point in time, it is unclear whether or not SNSD’s scheduled ‘1st Japan Arena Tour’, will continue to take place in May. With things the way they are in the country at the moment, I’m assuming that we should expect the same outcome for these events too.

For now, let’s just pray for Japan’s recovery effort and please continue to pledge donations via Soshified or directly through Red Cross.

SeoTae to dub voices for Gnomeo and Juliet

UPDATE: There is word that these are unconfirmed reports as to whether or not both Taeyeon and Seohyun will be providing any form of voice dubbing for the Korean version of Gnomeo and Juliet. In the mean time, please take any news regarding their participation on the project with a grain of salt.  – mikechi

Just as they have before, Taeyeon and Seohyun will once again provide the Korean dubbed voices for characters in another American 3D animated film.

Based loosely on William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the Korean dubbed version of Touchstone Pictures Gnomeo and Juliet, will feature the voices of T-ara’s Jiyeon and MBLAQ’s Lee Joon in the lead roles, as well as comedian Jung Juri as Juliet’s nanny; whilst SNSD’s Taeyeon and Seohyun, Super Junior’s Shindong, and KARA’s Park Gyuri will provide dubbed voiceovers for, as of yet, unspecified roles.

Koreans can expect to see the film at theaters in April.

EDIT: It appears that SNSD may not be making an appearance at the “Korean Day” baseball event in Osaka, Japan after all. Although contrary to what was previously reported, S.M. Entertainment expressed via Star News on March 10th, that:

We have not received any request from Oryx’s side regarding SNSD’s participation in the match which involves pitching and batting the first ball of the match, etc.

Looks like Oryx Buffaloes player’s Park Chan-Ho and Lee Seung-Yeop will not have their wishes fulfilled 😦
