Recently, Rino Nakasone tweeted ENDo Jidai performing SNSD’s Oh!, Hoot, and Genie. EnDo Jidai is a cosplay group, a type of performing art where the cast dress up in costumes to represent a specific character. With the Soshi wave being so strong, they couldn’t pass up the opportunity to “cover” our girls’ dance moves.
The leader of Endo who is a male, even wrote on his blog about the performance and how Rino performed with them. Check it out here! It’s all in Japanese though so if anyone could provide a translation that be great!

IS THAT A MAN IN WOMEN’S CLOTHES? OH GOD THE HORROR.
As for the performances, they were executed exceptionally well. A little bit of exaggeration here and there, but it only augments to the overall presentation, which I feel is better than great. With smooth interjections in each individual song and seamless dancing, I find it perfectly fine to watch and enjoy, as with most SNSD covers on the internet.
Now, I feel the dance has lost its luster and looks stupid all of a sudden.
I can’t dance for nuts so what I gave above is given to any dance video regardless of whether it has flawless grace or is simply professional amateur-ish. Depending on what is actually happening however.

i saw this yesterday, and the first person that caught my attention was the tall black guy (no pun intended)…DIVA!

i took a look at endo’s blog. he is half american/japanese and has worked with namie amuro, miliyah kato, daichi miura, speed, max, yuna ito, leah dizon etc. i found some videos he is in.

Definitely an interesting dance cover, though all of those dancers seem really experienced. 4:26-4:40 was pretty awesome, as a youtube comment pointed out.

They exaggerate their moves, it’s not graceful at all.
Emphasizing moves too much, make them look like clowns.

Hey i know this is just like every other rumour people have heard and such but apparently March 8th is the new release date given for the “3rd Single – Oh!” in japan! apparently the release date is printed on snsd’s sm town 2011 tokyo leaflets or flyers!

they’re pretty good. too bad SNSD doesnt use back up dancers that often (since there’s already nine of them lol). but if they ever need backup dancers for solo’s or something, these guys would know the moves already.lol

my third time watching this, the dancing part was awesome (although it’s exaggerated) 🙂 i wonder if SNSD could be as energetic as this group XD haha kidding. i like SNSD’s dance the way it is.
I don’t see anything wrong with people cosplaying and performing a dance cover of SNSD. Hey, guys (like me) dance to SNSD all the time, just not in public. xD The exaggerated movements made this an original and funny cover, and I doubt this was meant to be totally serious. Some parts were more disturbing than usual, but overall it was fun to watch. Like the arrow dance part. XD
