Fellow SONEs, our wish has come true! or at least my wish 😛 With the Japanese Run Devil Run ringtone showing immense success upon its release, it has recently been revealed that on the 28th of January SNSD will be performing the Japanese version of Run Devil Run on Music Station! ^_^ Who else is excited? xD *flails arms*

Run Devil Run in japanese is fierce…25th is pretty close.
I don’t usually like jap versions because it sounds weird, but RDR is actually really really good (:
the lyrics takes getting used to, but its still fierce nonetheless :)…here’s the longer teaser, with sunny & hyoyeon’s solo parts.
All I can say right now without being super negative about it is that it sounds like a completely different song, I already know it will take me a lot longer to get use to RDR than Genie and Gee. Some songs are better to just stay as Korean only and I’d put RDR in that category, the Japanese language just doesn’t have that sharp fierceness that the Korean version had.
Considering the song was originally done in English by Ke$ha (though she never released it), I’m gonna have to disagree. I love any and all versions of this song, especially considering it was the first SNSD track I ever heard. So glad the girls are gonna be performing it again! 😀
Just because a song works in two different languages doesn’t mean it works in all languages. But every man is entitled to his opinion, songs are like abstract paintings, everyone sees them differently.

While I’m open for seeing a brand new concept (or not) for RDR, though the concept will be somewhat analogous, I feel the need to say the same as RagingXL.
I don’t know why, but I feel irked by the sense of disingenuousity.

@matt they didn’t ‘buy it from ke$ha” … =.= kesha recorded the guide version of the song before her debut, (which got leaked onto YT) snsd are the official artistes. 😛
One more thing to note, the moment a JPN Hoot is released, I think we can pretty much render it superfluous considering the amount of inundation of material and news to some individuals.
this isn’t exactly an official teaser…the link i provided actually is fanmade by some one who download all the different versions of the ringtone to test how it would sound like. SM/UMJ hasn’t release the official song, so i’ll keep in mind that the whole song might possibly be different as compared to the teaser/s.
seeming as i can only speak english and bad french. i love both versions and don’t see really any much of a difference.

we haven’t really heard the whole song yet, so i say give it a try first because i know for me it the lyrics takes getting used to, but i still like it. since the teasers are all sequences done by a fan, i’m sure its going to sound just as good as the korean once the song comes out in its fullest.
