Fans, gather around, our next mission apart from emptying our wallets for SNSD’s albums and calendars..is to vote for the girls at the 2010 Golden Disk Awards! The time frame to vote will be from November 22nd to December 6. Although the winner isn’t simply based off of your votes (they’re also based off of points given by the committee), please do so anyway.
It’s simple: Go HERE and scroll down on the left hand column to look for Soshi. Click the circle and then go all the way down and hit the Vote button and that’s it! Fans may only vote once though.
Currently, Super Junior is first place with 58.88% and Soshi is second place with 19.70%.
For those that don’t know much about the GDA, it is probably one of Korea’s most prestigious award shows. Some even call it the Grammy Awards of Korea. Winners are decided by the volume of album sales and digital sales. The show will be held on December 9th from 19:00-22:00 KST at the Korean University Hwajung Gymnasium.
Finally, for the fans living in Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, and of course Korea, there will be a live streaming of the show! Just go HERE on the day of.

Oh SO deserves the win..But looking at the ratings, it really saddens me to see how blindly fans vote (no offense to SNSD, I already said they deserve to win. Oh really was a hit). PSY, for example, should be WAY higher than most idol groups =/

it’s odd that it’s happening in both IE and FF though.. try restarting. this seemed to work for some people unable to access the site at all even after clearing cookies/cache.

I find it weird, that in the 2nd link, the live stream has already started, but they’re only showing commercials for MSN concurrently. It’s blaring “WELCOME ALL MSN USERS, VOTE FOR YOUR FAVOURITE K-POP STAR(S) TO WIN!” or something like that.

I am pleased(lol?) to inform you that perhaps the reason why Super Junior may have a near 60% lead compared to Girl’s Generation near 20% lead may be because that the voting periods are in its early stages. Here’s an example:
Let’s imagine that the total amount of votes currently in is 10 , and there are 2 other competitors. That would mean that since SUJU has 60% of the total votes, they have 6 votes. And respectively with SNSD with 20%, 2 votes, along with other 1 vote each to the other competitors, attaining themselves 10% of the total.
Probably the reason why SUJU has a big lead compared to SNSD may be the result of some E.L.Fs’ hearing about the event earlier than some SONEs’ and casting their votes in early, thus bringing the tallied percentage up high to 60%, and since there were fewer SONEs’ than E.L.Fs who have heard about the event when the website was created and voting began, put in their votes and brought the SNSD percentage up to 20%.
In short, at the moment when the voting period began, there were more E.L.Fs'(6) than SONEs'(2) that casted their votes in, thus giving us the impression that SUJU has a big lead and SNSD is left in the dust when in fact, the reason being so is aforementioned. I think we’re hardwired to think that big percentages mean an overall winner, but that’s not really the case now.

Besides, I know that this site garners a lot of love, views, attention and visits from SONEs’ internationally who come onto this site to get the latest news about the happenings of SNSD in the media, so much so that this site, along with Soshified, are my 2 main sources of SNSD-related information.
Which is why I made the suggestion to have this post ‘Stickied’ so SONEs’ can vote for our beloved ladies in this prestigious event upon clicking (on) and/or typing in this blogsite’s link, and seeing this post upon arrival will pique their interest immediately to follow the guidelines as mentioned to vote for them.
Since this site gets several to many visitors daily, once they set their eyes upon this stickied post, they vote and tell other SONEs’ about it. Eventually word-of-mouth will spread and many SONEs’ would wind up voting for SNSD and coming to know of this event. In the long run, until the actual event, it would prove beneficial and worth it not only for SNSD to win, but for us SONEs’ to help them win, giving us a sense of elation.
To end this reply, ‘All the Best for SNSD to win!’ and as Tiffany would say: “Never Give Up!”

Even IF the girls lost by vote,
but i believe our girls’ digital album sales are far more SUPERIOR compared to Suju..
and it’s 80%.. So we might lose about 10 percent but gain more than 70 percent..
