On December 25, the KBS Entertainment Awards announced the best comedians, DJ hosts, and variety show entertainers of 2010. Hosted by Shin Bong Sun, Lee Ji Ae, and Shin Bong Yeob, the ceremony included parodies of various hit songs. Although SNSD wasn’t present, a force of 13 comedians joined together to parody the latest “Hoot“.

For many people outside the SNSD fandom and for some new SONES, the one member who seems particularly cold and distant is probably Jessica. Understandably so. On the outside, Jessica can live up to her old nickname- the “Ice Princess“. However, on the inside, Sica is cucumber-phobic, secretly full of aegyo, a YulSic shipper, a pervert, a dork, and a girl who loves her members and friends.

The famous “hit-maker” Kim In Ah recently tweeted about Yoona, sparking the interests of many. The songwriter of Brown Eyed Girls‘ “Abracadabra”, Gain‘s “Irreversible”, and IU’s “Nagging” and recently “Good Day” wrote on her personal twitter about her account of The Yoona Effect.
After seeing the girls at the 2010 Melon Music Awards, she tweeted: “Whenever SNSD walked by, the walkway would split and light would shine down making it seem like heaven.” Kim In Ah pointed out Yoona in particular: “Putting all personal preferences aside, Yoona’s face is blessed. After seeing Yoona’s face in person, I have to avoid mirrors.” <– as in, Yoona is so pretty, I can’t bear to see my own not-as-pretty face.
Definitely the aura of Goddess Yoona. It’s funny how Yoona can seem so elegant while in reality, she’s a total choding. LOL

Veteran singer Psy entertained fans by dancing the Hoot moves while singing his song, “Right Now”. The girls even made a short appearance in his latest performance. Like the Gee Phenomenon, the Hoot dance is making rounds in Korea once again as fellow idols are parodying the choreography in various shows. While parodies may be just for fun, they also exemplify the growing popularity of a song. Although promotions for Hoot are nearing the end, it is clear that the impacts of SNSD’s hard work are still lasting.
On the latest episode of the variety show Sebakwi, Min of MissA and comedian Kim Shin Young danced to their own interpretations of Hoot. For those of you who aren’t familiar with them, Min is Hyoyeon’s longtime friend and KSY is like Soshi’s closest unnie evar. While the dances wouldn’t be considered anywhere near graceful, the two kkab-ful parodies were just as entertaining. Anyway, see for yourselves and decide whether they did the dance any justice!

After months of cautious interaction, the Sweet Potato Couple on the show “We Got Married” finally showed deliberate skinship! And by deliberate, I don’t mean a casual brush of the hand. I mean, girl holds on to boy’s arm in the most adorable way possible. Praise the Lawd!
Even more surprising is who initiated it. No other than.. Seohyun! Despite her shy personality and Soshi unnies’ description of her as “anti-boy”, our very own Seobaby reached for Yonghwa’s arm first, surprising her husband and making the “We Got Married” cast absolutely ecstatic.
In the streets of Japan lit by the shining full moon, the two cutely linked arms as they walked back to their motel-ish place.

Having debuted in Japan with “Genie” and reviving the Hallyu Wave with “Gee“, SNSD has been gaining quite the popularity in the land of the red sun.
Proof?
Shoujo Jidai is the ONLY Korean group invited to perform at the prestigious 2010 Fuji TV FNS Music Festival! The festival is one of the major Japanese year-end music shows that features prominent artists all over the country. And by country, we mean Japan and usually ONLY Japan, but this year is a bit different.
On November 15, Fuji released through their official website the list of performers who will be performing this year. “少女時代 (SNSD)” was verified as one of the artists, a huge honor for a group that debuted in Japan only months ago.
SNSD will perform alongside many popular artists including: Arashi, V6, Kinki Kids, Ken Hirai, EXILE, AKB48, SMAP, TUBE, Mai Kuraki, JUJU, Kubota Toshinobu, and Noriyuki Takihara.
The FNS Music Festival will be held on December 4th, will be aired live for 4 hours starting 7.00pm (Japan’s local time). SNSDKorean will definitely be covering the event, so remember to check back soon!
