[Update] The angry mob worked! 😛 SM Entertainment has confirmed a second concert on June 11th. However, ticket sales have been indefinitely postponed. 😦 We will update you when more information is available. -MintChoc
Okay, they may not have been angry, but what do you do when tickets to the concert you’ve been waiting your entire life for have sold out? You take to the streets à la:
French K-pop fans gathered en masse at the Louvre, on May 1st in an attempt to convince S.M. Entertainment to add a second date to their SM Town Live’11 in Paris concert. In front of the iconic Lourve Pyramid, the flash mob sung and danced their hearts out in order to make their voices heard, and with numerous Korean media outlets present, the news was quickly relayed back to S.M. Entertainment who responded via a representative:
The request came not only from French fans but also Kpop fans from within Europe. Before we decide to add another concert, we will have to check a lot of things such as the artistes’ schedules, hotel and flight arrangements as well as concert equipments. Nevertheless, we will look into all possibilities.
Nice one French/Euro SONEs, you guys totally deserve a second concert! Hope you get it.
Oh and since I’m mentioning the Lourve, remember who was there last year?

hmm taeyeon was in Singapore last year, and they performed in Singapore Kpop Nite last year. Yoona was in paris last year too and SM concert is coming to paris this year.. hmm coincidence?

i understand that SM wanted to be careful so they decided to get a smaller venue (though le Zenith is already big but it can only hold like 9k+ peeps as oppose to their usual 20k+ or so venues for SMTowns) just to make sure that they can sell out a crowd. but within 15 minutes of the tickets announcement, it SOLD OUT like hot cakes 🙂 and i was chatting w/ some EURO-SONES and they said they were really lucky to stay up majority of the time so that when the tickets go on sale they’d be able to get it. but i think SM should have rented out a bigger venue than le Zenith so it can accomadate atleast 15k+ people!
I dont care if its not in Paris again, I just want them to add another European date period. Actually it would be better for me if they did it in my country that way I dont have to spend 200 dollars to go to Paris. But for SNSD I would spend the money in a second. Also I hope it’s around the fall because I wont be be back in Europe till August DX
I hope there will be a second concert for the European fans. And don’t miss the chance to get the tickets again.

BUT this might also be troublesome, cuz if they do give them a second one, thats great and all but, what happens next time when the do another SMTOWN Concert??? and there is another angry mob demanding a second one??? and SM then says no…. that might be seen as unfair… idk …. just putting the thought out there…lol
Yes , it sounds like it’s unfair, but as it’s the very first time in Europe (and hopefully not the last), maybe guys at SM Entertainment might be … nicer than usual 😉

I lost hope when i knew i am abroad while the actual concert is attending on June, and then when tickets were sold out in 15 minutes .
I hope this kind of action will lead to success, a massive Thank you to S.M Entertainment for having the kindness to answer so quickly. Dunno if it’s possible to coordinate the 5 groups’ schedules and all the stuff that goes with, but i’m praying for that.

Tickets start tomorrow at 10am, from what I’ve heard.
Well at least they managed to achieve 50% of their goal (which is to get a 2nd SMTown concert going 😉 ) !!! I suspect the postponement of ticket sales is to allow the concert organisers to arrange for a more stable on-line ticket booking system, since they now know the extent of the popularity of the K-Pop idols being showcased 😀 😀 😀 !!!
