On Mnet’s ‘Idol Chart Show’, singers were ranked by their MR removed clips and Taeyeon grabbed 3rd place.

For those who don’t know what MR removed clips are, they’re clips that minimize any MR (music recorded) in the song and maximize the vocals of the singer. MR-removed clips/videos can help prove singers’ power vocals.
Personally, I think she could’ve ranked higher, but I’m not going complain since she’s in Top 3. Congrats to Taeng! To celebrate, here are a couple of MR removed clips I’ve found. I love her ‘I Love You’ the most.

IU have high notes but Taeyeon have much strong and beautiful voice… Even her busy with snsd, her solo OST and duet still hit. Taeyeon much better want put emotion at song her sing. That make her always make the her solo hit. Her have aura at her voice and personality.
Dang, instead of the MR removed, it should be MC REMOVED, those darn hosts in the video were so noisy, just let us listen to her awesome voice. I think Top 3 is as good as she can rank, it’s hard to argue against those two above her… TVXQ is insanely good live, and IU is IU.
Taeyeon vocal skills is so much better, iu can hit high note very nicely. But taeyeon voice is more beautiful.

the MR removed Star Star Star video isn’t MR removed for taeyeon lol. i remember that time she had some problems with her throat so they used their recording instead.
I honestly think 3rd place does Taeng justice. IU and HoMin are more skilled in the various techniques of singing, whilst Taeng’s voice is still very strong and beautiful. Congrats, Tae!
I just noticed that in Dear Mom, the audio is MR removed from the ACTUAL song, NOT the live version. Although the chorus tells me otherwise. Love the MR removed versions, they sound so damn good.
woah seriously, as a bit of a singer myself, i totally feel her vocals are just so awesome…the feelings conveyed in this song has been totally expressed so fully that i actually had tears in my eyes…. Just so amazing….

Taeyeon is JJANG to the MAX <33333 !!! She's actually one of the MAIN reasons that I've become a fervent SONE in so short a time ;). Her vocal abilities are simply AMAZING (in my "book") 😀 ! To me, she'll Always be Number One 🙂 😀 !!!

Anyway, I really really believe that our Taeyeon should have been ranked ABOVE IU,
I don’t know anything about DBSK’s HoMin, so I can’t comment there, but I’ve heard IU’s songs, and while she has a large vocal range, and can hit those really high notes, she really, IMO, lacks any power and strength in her singing, it sounds too superficial
but Taengoo, wow, her singing is just out of this world beautiful, the perfect vocals that she has simply puts me in heaven! Her strength and power in singing, vocal range, the depth, everything just fits so well

IU cannot sing. She uses falsetto and has too much air in her voice. Taeyeon projects and solid on her singing. People that voted for IU are just simply voting for stuff other than her vocal ability. Maybe Korea needs to learn how to train singers properly.

To be honest, I’m not a fan of IU’s voice because it’s too mushy, I should say.
TaeYeon’s voice on the other hand is strong and powerful.
