I hope the joke was really that that song will NOT be covered. SME are geniuses at what they do and soshi make almost anything better but that song is ugh. I guess the saying goes that when when you’re rock bottom the only way to go is up.

i am not sure about the youtube hits and how the “friday” song got its “recognition”, but it is totally crap!!! (no offense to those who loves it) SNSD is like world class diva compared to a mediocre rebecca black, I don’t normally question SME’s strategy but I am totally against this decision to collaborate with RB…just things are a hit in the US doesnt mean you always have to have affliliation/ make use of it…look at wonder girls and justin bieber’s collaboration, I don’t think that helped too much in WG’s penetration into the US market. Continue to be the greatest in what you already are (Asia), I am afraid it may not be matured enough to reap the harvest in western market yet.
Whatever it is, just don’t collaborate with RB. It will make a disastrous move.
