After the tsunami and earthquake that happened in Japan recently, people all around the world have been stepping in to help the country or just by sending out messages of concern. SNSD was no different as they recently released a message on their mobile fansite.
A message from SNSD] The victims have our deepest sympathy
We would like to express our deepest sympathy to the victims of the Tohoku Pacific Ocean Earthquake. We came to know about the news of the earthquake in Thailand. Regarding SNSD who has activities in Japan, this isn’t somebody elses problem and all of the members are concerned. Even now, the aftershocks, tsunami and disasters continuously occur and there is serious damage. This current condition pains our hearts very much. We pray from our hearts that everybody will peacefully get over this hardship.From the SNSD members

i think it would be understandable if SM/UMJ postpone Mr. Taxi for now…i wouldn’t want to do any promotions in japan any time soon, when the country and its people are still recovering from the traumatic events that happened this past few days.
i hope everyone in japan is okay. hopefully it will get better soon.
with everything going on in japan its most likely kpop stars will delay promotions in japan. i pray everything will get better

Yes, safety and sensitivity should always come first over fandom, so, yeah. perhaps “Mr. Taxi” should take a “rain-check” for the moment ;). i hope the kpop artists throw in a concert benefit, like LIVE AID or something :)…it would definitely mean a lot to not only the japanese fans but the japanese people who are suffering right now!
That’s so sweet of them. Pray for Japan and the people. It must have been terrifying for the Japanese to have earthquakes, tsunamis and a nuclear meltdown all at one. So guys please donate to the Red Cross generously for the Japanese and soshi. 🙂

My heart goes to the Japanese people and I’m sure everyone here do as well. I know of some people who’ve been unable to contact anyone in their family who live directly inside the disaster zones. Hope nothing too bad happened to them.
As for the album idk if they will want to postpone it, but it’ll be even better if some of the proceeds go to the relief and rebuilding efforts.
I express my heartfelt concern for the Japanese people… I hope and pray that they will overcome this tragedy and move on.
For SNSD’s case, I really think that they’re angels 🙂 Like them, I really hope that everyone in Japan will peacefully get over this crisis.
May Japan recover as soon as possible! Fighting!

After reading tons of seemingly irrational comments* made on Youtube videos’ showcasing the tsunami’s destructive power and mindless disputes between religious adherers and logical individuals, I find this post to be a welcome break from all of those entirely fruitless pursuits, as everybody here and SNSD is giving their all by showing their support and concern for the victims of the tsunami disaster. Great job everyone! That’s even more reason to donate.

Actually, it’s becuz of tis disaster which is y all the more they should go down to japan to promote Mr Taxi n at e same time perform several songs to boost their morale. I am sure their appearance would lift the gloomy atmosphere. Also, hopefully japan could perservere through it all like they did in past disasters.
SNSD are concerned about japan very much so im glad they did send an encouraging message to everyone there! japan keep ur hopes up hopefully everything will end up fine at the end! prayer to the #dead R.I.P!

My heart has broken into to two pieces at the moment. Half of my heart is really happy for the people who have found their family in Japan but half of my heart is still very worried for the people who have passed away or still are waiting to hear from their family… STAY STRONG FOREVER
