With less than a week to go ’til the Big Guy in Red makes his appearance, I thought I’d make a post dedicated to making the holidays even brighter for S♥NES (and their loved ones) around the world. This is already such a feel-good time of year, sprinkling in a little fandom here and there can’t hurt 😉 Here are some obnoxious suggestions for anyone who wants to include our nine angels in this year’s festivities.

(‘Cuz the party don’t start ’til Soshi walks in)

The Tree

Christmas doesn’t feel complete without a tree. The smell of pine (or plastic if that’s what you’re into), the twinkling lights, the presents piled underneath; all these things make a tree special. If you’re one of those artsy individuals who like to make even more of a statement, your tree may be any assortment of colors, but for the rest of us green is the way to go. And you know what color pairs well with green…

(It’s like it was made for SNSD!)

That’s rightPINK! Indulge in some pink ornaments and lights and turn your Christmas tree into a Soshimas tree. You can even make your own SNSD-inspired ornaments. Grab some scissors and construction paper and cut out music notes, then write the girls’ names or song titles on them. Get a hold of some paperclips, print out your favorite picture(s) of each girl and decorate to your heart’s content.

 The Music

Nobody can resist playing Christmas music in December. But why switch genres when you can mix for a brand new sound. While your family’s rockin’ out to the Christmas playlist, add in some of your favorite SNSD songs to shake thing up. Songs like “Ooh La La!” “My Child” and of course “Snowy Wish” are excellent additions to the traditional soundtrack because they all have a holiday sound to them. Luckily, Soshi has been involved in/done a lot of covers over the years. Here are just a few that are sure to make spirits bright ❤

“Only Love” from the SM Town 2007 Winter Album

“Love Melody” live (also from the Winter Album)

“Santa Baby” cover at 2009 MBC Gayo Daejun

Kid Leader’s version of “Christmas Song”

Whether you’re gathered around the piano or bundled up outside, caroling is always a fun holiday pastime.  Make the experience even better by tweaking the lyrics to some well known tunes.  Let the creativity flow; here are a few substitutions I’ve come up with:

“All I Want For Christmas is My Two Front Teeth” becomes “All I Want For Christmas is My O.T.P.”

(Yep, HyoSunFany. Fear it. Love it.)

“White Christmas” becomes “Pink Christmas”

& my new personal favorite, “Grandma Got Run Over By a Mushroom” XD

 (That’s one lucky grandmother…)

Christmas is much more fun with cookies and presents! Spread even more Soshimas spirit by wrapping your gifts in pink paper this year, or at least tying on a pink bow. And don’t stop there- pink sprinkles and icing will take a ho-hum homemade cookie to the next level! Here are some pinked-out goodies to get you started:

(Yummy! Too bad my cookie decorating skills are non-existent T_T)

You could also write each of Soshi’s favorite numbers on nine cookies in blue and yellow. Sosholiday is about celebrating all the colors of Soshi, not just pink! (shhh don’t tell Tiffany ><)

If your family hasn’t kicked you out of the house by now, see what else you can improve using a little thought and the Power of 9. Create some new traditions this year and make this a Sosholiday to remember! Oh, and if anyone has any more suggestions for Sosholiday activites, leave a comment and I’ll add it to the post. Thanks for reading 🙂
