    2. cursing? the language on this blog has been worse in the past if you’ve followed the blog for over a year. i’ve noticed the use of explicit words has been tonned down significantly, but i actually kind of miss those older posts. there’s nothing wrong with using certain words, it’s the internet in 2010. i think most are mature enough to handle the language, and they’re just different words that can be used to express thoughts. besides, soshi is FUCKING awesme. is that a ‘bad’ statement now?

    2. Hey bud don’t get it twisted, we can talk about REAL hip hop all day, any day, every day. I was a radio dj for 3 years playing underground hip hop and also a dancer. So please don’t try and take a shot at my credibility as a writer or as a fan of TRUE hip hop.

      I never said SNSD IS hiphop. I pretty much said: “what is it about (yuri) that people (can’t help but be attracted to)?”

      And in my OWN personal opinion it’s the hip hop aspect.

      The entire point of my post is to point out that Yuri’s base of style IS hip hop related –whether it be through my satirical style of writing or Yuri’s own silly attempts to “be hip hop.”

I love how she’s not worry about her curves and she openly flaunts it when many female idols are known for extremely dieting to be thin, makes me proud of my own curves. Happy Birthday Yuri-ah 🙂

    To be honest, I cringe whenever SNSD fans use “hip hop” and SNSD (and any related terms) in the same sentence, and I cringe even more whenever the Girls start freestyling or even just say “hip hop.” I was never a big fan of the genre (outside of Pac, and then only long after he’d passed), but I grew up in gang territory and so I have at least that much of an affinity with ghetto culture. So it’s almost like me seeing middle class kids dressing “gangsta,” except I have more patience with the Koreans because it all has a different context over there. Also, since it’s all done in fun, I suppose it’s no worse than pointing out that Sunny is the shortest.

    And I hate to be argumentative, but for the people who’ve taken up saying this or that about swearing: some people are comfortable with it – get used to it. Some people aren’t comfortable with it – get used to it. Sunny is the shortest – get used to it.

      1. I meant in that last part “get used to her being shortest,” not “get used to people poking fun.” It was a joke I threw in at the end so I guess I didn’t see ahead of time that it might be read that way. And maybe it’s a bad example too.
        “All done in fun.” Not that it would be okay to make fun of a classmate or co-worker for being short (or fat or going bald), because yeah, “done in fun” doesn’t mean you get a free pass for saying whatever you want. But even though we’re not personal friends of SNSD, I think it’s okay to make jokes about it if we’re not being insulting because we’re fans. It’s not a normal relationship – it’s like being friend (like a close friend and not just a friendly acquaintance), but we’re not friends. Like the whole “clumsy Fany” thing, or noting that Sooyoung eats a lot, or that Sooyoung is tallest or pointing out that Yoona laughs with her mouth so wide open.
        Or is that just an excuse I made up so that I could say things like that?

  37. First of all, yuri has been the FIRST girl I lay my eyes on. I got to know about SNSD through their dance battle with WG, Kara and Black Pearl. When i saw yuri i was like “OMFG SHE IS THE PRETTIEST”. Then i began to follow SNSD. Yuri is the sexiest. She’s confident and dances sooo well. She’s my favourite and I’ll always follow her. 🙂
    I was really glad that she appeared in the ‘centre’ for ONCE in; chocolate love and hoot. I hope she gets more parts. OH! and when she sung that high note in ‘mistake’. she’s so amazing. she’s the reason why i always check up on snsd (other members do too, but yuri is my <3)

The absolute embodiment of everything a great female entertainer should possess. She’s been voted by other celebrities as a great wife candidate, and she’s been voted to have the best nose (and that’s not even her best asset), no wonder she’s in a relationship with practically every soshi member because she’s THAT hot.
