  5. OMG!!! The first song that came to mind when I “Click” that link was to listen to “Mistake.” And this song is certainly ain’t a “Mistake” because it sounds amazing. The song is beautiful and a big round of applause to Yuri (my favourite gal) for writing this wonderful song :). I could crying just listening to it!

  27. I’ve listened to “Mistake” 3x already, and each time I get goosebumps :). Yuri’s talent is undoubtedly obvious and I’m glad she taken in the chance to do the writing for this mini album because it’s all worth it! I’ve always been a fan of Yuri and she was the first member that I’ve liked ever since, so this album is definitely a special one not just of SNSD/Yuri but for all of us fans.

Snowy Wish definitely put the Holiday spirit in me (and Now I find myself drinking hot chocolate w/ marshmallows ^^). Wake up is fun and currently on repeat!     1. if you think “Mistake” has the same track as Jenny Hyun’s song, then you are correct! SM credited both the original composers of the song, and the composers were touched when Yuri offered to write the Korean lyrics for it. And just to clarify things, “Mistake” is not plagiarize but was rearrange with approvals from the original composers 🙂

    btw guys, just to set things straight Yuri did not compose ‘Mistake’, she’s the lyricist… she wrote the Korean lyrics not the song, and yes, she made a beautiful fanfic-worthy lyrics~ keke I love how all the girls’ vocals are showcased in this song.

    My Best Friend is a cute song… haha I especially love Seobaby’s “unnie” and Jess laugh in the end of the song.

    I love the heavy beats on Wake Up. Awesome song, though it feel a bit draggy? I have a thing for Jinu’s song, I guess. :]

    Snowy Wish is bit too cheery for my liking though haha I bet it’ll grow on me though.

    1. Yuri is credited for writing the Korean lyrics, but the original lyrics were done by two different people. But don’t fret, both the original composers have given Yuri their approval to re-write the song in Korean :).

  47. Man… congratulations to Yuri for writing the lyrics, but that’s straight up telenovela/dorama stuff. Makes me wonder how she approached it – did she set out to write a sad song, or was that what hit her, listening to the tune? Etc. Anyway, again, even as I disagree with the mindset of the speaker (the chorus in particular), there’s some good imagery, especially towards the end. And yes, I’m aware she didn’t have a hand in writing the music, but I also like the arrangement in the latter half.

  53. now i’m worried that the mv won’t be release maybe i until tomorrow :(. with the recent revelations by one of SM’s talent Jonghyun of Shinee and actress Shin Se Kyung dating, I think SM will put a hold of the mv until the fandom with Jonghyun and Se Kyung dies down a bit. I’m happy for them, but this is definitely hindering the release of Hoot mv.

  85. Mistake doesn’t sound as impressive to me simply because the “shijou”(pardon my spelling) part is becoming very annoying with all the waves and stuff. They put a wave at every end it becomes redundant. Tae’s high note was weird.

    I POSTIVELY ADORE the YULSIC part coz it was refreshing from everything else.

    and the lyrics! OH MY YULL YOU”RE BRILLIANT! But…….. the implications… YUL, did someone break your heart? Is it YongBae? Did he lead you on? >__<

  90. I like “Mistake” song and melody, but not really like the lyrics. lol. So far my best favorite is “My Best friend” since I like the beat and the lyrics. Snowy wish is also good. Wake up have unique beat, need to get used to it first. And “Hoot!” is good but the feel is like “gee” and “oh!” Why SM can’t choose a ballad song for their #1 comeback song. Conclusion, all the songs is good and enjoyable to listen repeatedly.
