Well, as the thread title clearly states, our 9 ladies were recently involved in the Hallyu Dream Festival, a special event to commemorate the 2010-2012 Visit Korea Year Campaign, which was held between October 1st and 3rd in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do.The festival was co-sponsored by the Visit Korea Committee, Gyeongsangbuk-do and Gyeongju which was the former ancient capital of the Silla Period with countless cultural relics. The festival also offered the best of K-POP which has been garnering wild popularity world-wide in recent years.
K-Pop artistes featured in the festival were Girls’ Generation (the publicity ambassador for the Visit Korea Year 2010-2012), TVXQ, 2PM, Shinee, miss A, GD & TOP, Se7en, Secret, ZE:A, Davichi, 4 Minute, Beast, G.NA, T-ara, Sistar, MBLAQ, and Infinite. Kim Gun-mo, a top artist in Korea for 20 years, also appeared in the concert as a special guest.
On the same day itself and at the same location, but on an earlier time-slot, 2 of our favourite 9 ladies, Yuri and Tiffany also acted as MCs (together with YB band member Yoon Do-hyun) for the Kpop Cover Dance Festival Roadshow 40120.
The 40120 in the show title refers to the distance across the Earth in kilometres, a pointed reference to the fact that auditions for the event covers major geographical locations across the Earth like Russia, Brazil, the US, Japan, Thailand, and Spain, with the finals taking place in Korea itself.
