Echoing the sentiments of SNSD’s gratitude to their TVXQ sunbaenims on Come to Play, T-ara’s Hyomin has expressed thanks to SNSD for setting out the path for fellow K-pop groups debuting in Japan.
T-ara’s Hyomin, Jiyeon and Eunjung appeared on YTN’s “News and Issues, Issues and People” on July 29th on which they were asked whether they felt pressured by other groups, notably SNSD and Kara, who have done exceedingly well in the Japanese market.
Hyomin replied, “We actually feel more thankful than pressured. I think they relieved some pressure off of us.”
She then elaborated that because of the recent success of Korean groups in Japan and the increasing interest in K-pop, she believes that the transition into the market will be much smoother and that they will be able to do well, before expressing her thanks once again.
(Unfortunately, no comment was made about Hyomin’s other half, Sunny.)

Oh well, at least we know they do cherish each other on the inside even if they don’t verbally express it ^^
Anyways, I wish the best for Hyomin and the rest of the T-ara girls during their Japan promotions! And hopefully we can see both groups together on some Japanese show one day 🙂
lol i expected hyomin to talk about sunny too, but i’m guessing because she’s on the news/formal show, she had to refrain and be professional =/ would’ve been cute seeing her calling out for sunny tho like she did in IY when sunny wasn’t there. sunmin<3

I don't get why SNSD
That is because ONLY SNSD took things to a level way beyond anyone else. It is like thanking Michael Jackson for revolutionizing Pop music and dance, although there were many others who came before him.
Japan already had the best and J-Pop was what everyone was listening to.
Now they have never been more aroused towards K-Pop than when SNSD appeared on the scene.
Isaiah 59:19 “So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.”
The West = America. The Name of the LORD = Jesus Christ. His Glory = SNSD. The rising of the sun = Japan Land of the Rising Sun. The flood = Tsunami.
It is any coincidence that the worst thing to happen to Japan this year is the Tsunami, and the best thing to happen to them is SNSD tour in Osaka, Saitama, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Nagoya, and Fukuoka? I think not.
they did not only thank SNSD.they were thankful to KARA as well.
I think they specifically thanked SNSD (and Kara) because their success has been more recent: the nine girls have acquired a substantial amount of success in the last year and thus T-ara probably feel that their debut is more directly related to SNSD’s, as opposed to other Kpop-turned-Jpop musicians/groups that debuted in Japan years ago. Also, they’re both girl groups. TVXQ may have paved the way for SNSD, but SNSD is arguably the most successful Korean girl group in the Japanese music industry at the moment and have undoubtedly helped attract interest in other girl groups.
In the end, I think there’s implied thanks to other groups who have already dominated the Japanese market, but you can’t really thank everyone involved in k-pop’s appeal in Japan.

Keep in mind that this is only a rumoured tracklist. Until SM releases an official tracklist/statement, we need to remain doubtful.
