While ‘Gee’ Chaka Uta (Japan) already went double platinum a few months back. As of July 8th, SNSD’s first full Japanese album ‘Girls’ Generation‘ has also been certified double platinum by the RIAJ! (Recording Industry Association of Japan)

Recently on ‘Saturday Night Live (Japan)‘, the male cast (yes, MALE) parodied SNSD‘s ‘Mr Taxi‘. While my jaw still aches from laughing, lets just say that there was more than one reason that brought tears to my eyes.
So if you have a thing for exposed bulging bellies and short skirts…. this video is just for you. -__-“‘
Hilarity and visual terror aside, the fact that SNSD’s song was parodied on a TV program only further proves their ever growing popularity in Japan. 🙂
