While ‘Gee’ Chaka Uta (Japan) already went double platinum a few months back. As of July 8th, SNSD’s first full Japanese album ‘Girls’ Generation‘ has also been certified double platinum by the RIAJ! (Recording Industry Association of Japan)

Within the first 2 weeks of the album’s release on the 1st of June, ‘Girls’ Generation’ had already been certified platinum by the RIAJ moving more than 250,000 units. Now, SNSD has reached another milestone with the album being certified double platinum for selling over 500,000 copies!

With the girls working so hard in Japan, it’s simply heart warming to see them get acknowledged for their efforts.
