You ever wonder about the leg length difference between 2 of our favourite ladies 😉 ?
Fact: SooYoung is the tallest member in the group and Taeyeon is one of the shortest (the claim to shortness being disputable between herself and Sunny :D)
Well, according to some netizens, the obvious difference in height can be easily explained by one fact: the difference in the length of their legs. Recent photographs on the Web showing the 2 ladies sitting in a similar posture on the same chair have sparked a “healthy” discussion on how the differences in their legs have contributed to the discrepancy in their heights.
Some netizens also pointed out the fact that the photo of SooYoung does not even include her entire right leg, sparking concern that our dear Taengoo will feel a sense of embarassment for being a shorty.
Sooyoung’s extremely long legs have been a well-known fact for quite some time. In fact,on a “Radio Star” segment on MBC’s “Golden Fishery” in February of 2009, Sooyoung even introduced herself by saying, “I’m in charge of leg length in Girls’ Generation.”
Fans’ on-line responses to the debate varied greatly. Comments like:
“It’s not that Taeyeon’s legs are short, but that Sooyoung’s legs are really long”, “Sooyoung gives off a mature feel”, “Although Taeyeon’s legs are shorter than Sooyoung’s, it’s okay, because she’s good at singing and because she’s cute.”
Personally, I think Taeyeon sort of enjoys being a danshin as she gets to stand-out more when she is positioned between 2 of SNSD’s jangshins.
(As for myself, I think she has an awesome singing voice and is extremely cute and adorkable :D. Who really cares if she is a little below average in height ?!! Not me ! )

SNSD factoid:
When you line up the girls according to their birth date.. you’ll notice that they’re grouped according to their height this way:D
First 4 are the danshins: taeyeon, jessica, sunny and hyoyeon.. Last 4 are the “towers”: yuri, sooyoung, yoona and seohyun.
oh.. and IN BETWEEN these two groups is Tiffany. which many have said before has the most ‘average’ of heights among them nine:D

Haha that’s so true! But even so I think Taeyeon and all the other danshins have accepted their..tinyness/being “fun-sized” 😛

When it comes to leg length & height, Tiffany is probably the most interesting one.
Her legs are just as long as the Jangshin members, but her torso is unusually short. If she had a longer torso she’d be one of the taller ones too. Just look how high her hips are compared to other ‘shorties’ –

Including netizen comments isn’t really an Allkpop practice. Soshified which is known to be Anti-AKP, also reports news with netizen comments. Most of the time the netizen comments are included as the translation from the original articles, not a decision made by the blogger. I actually don’t care about how tall/short they are… My fave members are Sooyoung, Hyoyeon, Jessica, and Yoona.. See? 2 of them are the Jangshins and the other 2 are the Danshins!

Is Soo Young really that tall? I guess because I am 183 cms tall she doesn’t seem so tall, just right in my mind. Then again everything about her is just right but I have a Soo Young bias.
