Remember this? Looks like it wasn’t just a simple SNSD picture on the front of the Shibuya109 building. It turns out to be a collaboration, with the title of the project clearly stated in the picture 😀 The famous building is a symbol of Shibuya and girls fashion so it was perfect when the Soshi girls were chosen for the mall! As SONEs, we’ve seen the girls amazing sense of fashion. Good for Japan for jumping onto the “power of 9” train.
The banner will be displayed up until Christmas. The girls themselves also commented on this epic moment,
We, SNSD (Girls’ Generation), are appearing on the cylinder of “SHIBUYA109”, which is a symbol of Shibuya and girls fashion.
We go out shopping often and one of our favorite places is Shibuya, so we’re extremely happy!
There are also 9 members of SNSD, so it feels like fate that we get to collaborate with “09”.
It would be great if this could make everyone’s Christmas a little more fun and bright.
This time our theme is “line dancing” and we were particular about the fashion during this photo shoot.
Definitely come out and see it!
And, everyone please have a fantastic Christmas.
Merry Christmas!
Apart from the number 9 being a major coincidence, the building number is 109. With the zero in between the 1 and 9, it stands as a symbol of “uniting” the 9 girls as one. SS501’s means something along those lines. Sweeeeet! 🙂 I just noticed this myself randomly.

Great.. now I’m expecting a vending machine selling used SNSD undies soon coming to a Japanese spot near you..
Did the girls ever release anything related to Xmas CD? (outside of ‘Santa Baby’). It’ll be nice to listen to them sing ‘Silent Night’
I was watching Tokyo Fashion Express last night, and they showed Shibuya 109 building and I was like “wow…that’s where SoShi will be on in a couple of weeks for the Fall/Winter display. I heard Shibuya 109 is a coveted building advertisement because its in the heart of Shibuya, Tokyo which has tons of clothing shops, boutiques, and cafes. Lots of the younger generation hangs out there, and its also the birthplace of the kogal subculture.
Haha my first thought when this came out was “109…what a coincidence!” or maybe it’s just fate ^^
I hope they make SoShi plan in the future! (like social security things and education plans!)
hahaha I’ll definitely make one if there is! And oh, SoShi cable too!
24/7 Soshi!
