I really enjoyed watching and listening. I guess if you haven’t realize by now, this is why some of the girls are main vocals and some of the girls dance better :P. And oh! Doesn’t their outfits and the background take you back to Kissing You days!?!?!? Kissing you oh my love~!

Jessica got flat on her “OOOAH” adlib part but anyway I think its the effect of singing while dancing and sometimes you cant really hear your voice clearly when you sing live. Shes still good…

Anyways, splitting hairs aside. If you go back and listen to the recorded track of My Best Friend and compare with this live performance, the girls actually sang in a higher and more cheerful tone in this live. I didn’t realize it because I heard this live version before I really started listening to the recorded version. Anyways they sounded very good live as expected, the girls are proven live performers *cold stare at stupid Taiwanese media*.

Anyway. MR, ‘music removed’ is something of a misnomer. What you hear isn’t what you’d exactly hear if there’d been no recorded track playing in the first place, there’s all sorts of extra artifacts. That tinny echo, for example. The second video, literally just a recording of voices, is a lot more indicative.
Yeah. The real term would be “Filtered Acapella”.
the REAL LIVE from SSTP is DAEBAK!!!! I loved their voices cause it’s raw. pure love! ❤ Sunny's raw voice is just jjang! and as expected from Taengoo~ these girls are just awesome! I wonder when they'll ever win a Nobel Peace Prize… for just something out of their awesomeness?

but you have to admit that sometimes the supporting vocals sound better than the lead vocals

i wast only talking about hyo. at times everybody has those moments where they don’t sound that good. and something sound a little flat. sometimes a singer might sound better than another singer. in one particular song. its not like someone sounds better than someone else all the time. thats why i said sometimes the supporting vocals sound better than lead the vocals. SOMETIMES! yep, i know hyo doesnt have the best voice but i like it. its unique.

wow. to be honest, there voices didn’t sound particularly good even without the music. I don’t know if they were tired or this is how they normally sing but without the autotune, but that was just weird.
what is “MR”? and why is it removed? Did they perform with it removed or did someone just take the vid and edit it with the MR removed? the quality is bad, doesn’t do SNSD justice.
I actually don’t really like it when the real LIVE SOMEHOW got messed up at editing stages by broadcast stations.
If you take a look at this youtube.com/watch?v=vRokOs3QZ8g <— it's a Hoot fancam of the girls from Dae Jong film award 101029 and compare it to the BROADCAST version, you'll see how they messed up with it.
Or when you search for Hoot fancams on music bank/mucore/inki, the girls sound AMAZING but when it's broadcast on TV, just messed up man.

when you watch the video twice or thrice, it sounds really better. In addition, compared with anothers MR videos this sounds really bad.
I don’t know how these MR videos are made but the sound that it kicks out doesn’t make any sense after listening to the video it came from.
