The song doesn’t sounds like the teaser at all! At least not from the 1 min. HQ preview. I hear some power vocals by Sunny and Taeyeon at the end! 😀 And the song sounds kinda like Chocolate Love doesn’t it?
I think the song on the teaser is another one of their songs that’s going to be on the repackage album. Since there’s gonna be three new songs, plus the songs don’t sound alike at all.

I have to agree with LK, its a completely different sound.
They showed us the candy with the teaser, and then beat us with the stick with the not at all same sounding full single.
The beat was so awesome in the teaser. And now its meh…
If anything, make a remix down the road with the teasers backbeat.

I’m hoping that the teaser track is also on the repacked album. I like the new song though! Sounds better than Kesha’s version. And I love the second half of the chorus when they get the high notes. Love love love. Ready for the music video. Oh oh oh oh ah ah ah ah~

I wouldn’t call it futuristic as such. Because I’m sure the MV will turn me around later, I’ll say this now while I’m still sane. Not my type of music. Might be some people’s cup of tea, but not mine. It’s different from what I’ve been hearing in k-pop, certainly, but I’m not convinced that it’s positive. Yet. Of course, this will lead to better things – to development of the genre.
I was hoping they’d give us some more gorgeous bass, but it just wasn’t to be I suppose. I personally don’t care about any ties to Ke$ha because I don’t pay enough attention to her to listen to her ‘music’ on my own whim.
Okay, so I’ve listened to the song a few times by now. It’s not that it’s particularly bad or anything, in its own right, it is fine. But this isn’t what I wanted. There is no effect on me as I expected. There’s a lack of energy, of impact.
Okay, enough of that waffle, time to go and imagine how amazing the MV will be.
seriously, even the Kesha’s version is not an official one i still feel disappointed… the teaser made my heart pounding like crazy but the full song itself doesn’t… hope MV would heal my wound 😥

As always with every one of their songs, a couple of listens are needed to have it grow on me. But so far, I’m glad that the girls are maturing and providing a new side to themselves that’s different from what they’ve done in the past. Looking forward to the MV!
Well… to me, oh! was kind of bad, but some of the other songs in their albums redeemed that.
I am disappointed that SM took this song from a different singer… But lets be optimistic and look forward to the other songs being released with this.
okay……the beat is intense but song isn’t that catchy compared to their other ones, or its maybe just because im used to listening “OH!” which is a pretty catchy song…so yeah…
well maybe also im over expecting a catchy melody with the teaser beat…but its good anyways…cant wait for the MV ^_^
If nothing else, this song is an invaluable opportunity for non-Korean-speaking fans to try and gauge if we suffer some kind of detrimental modifier to liking a song because we don’t actually understand what is being said.
Listening to the Kesha version, I’ve got to admit that I prefer hers, because the melody – especially in the verses – is way more chanting/rapping than really singing anything, and so without understanding it in the SNSD version it doesn’t sound that interesting or dynamic to me.
But it’s catchy enough, and the beat gives you some idea of what a good song for choreography it will be. I’m not crazy about this song, but I predict that the video will be absolutely nuts, to the point where the music will almost become an afterthought..!

darn, i listened to the teaser again.. it sounded so awesome. They should have used the tune from the teaser for the beginning atleast… instead of the beats again, reminded me of INTW concept beginning.
The MV will be released 12AM KST. That means 10 hours 30 minutes from now. Or at least that’s what WenFany from Soshified claimed.
About the song, it’s always the case that first listen will be meh, to put it crudely. After a few listens to it, I begin to imagine the “femme fatale” image, yoona wielding a katana and slashing demons like Saya did in Blood+. Then the song sounded much better (or at least that’s how i consoled myself) ever since Genie and Oh! the songs sounded normal before the MV release, and hopefully this will be no different =/
About the Ke$ha/P.Diddy thing, other than what kayanne said, SM have the rights to this song, and Ke$ha made the demo song “run devil run” before her own debut, so it’s not considered plagiarism on SNSD’s part.

Okay, so here’s something new I noticed after listening to the teaser again – it gave me goosebumps!
Going through my head was the idea of just how downright sexy it sounds!!! I really hope that this is one of the other new songs on the repacked album called ‘Echo’. It’s possible that there’s an inkling of hope seeing as the girls performed both ‘Oh!’ and ‘Show! Show! Show!’ during at the various comeback stages. I’ll remain hopeful that we will hear that hot beat again!

Giving the song a few listens ont he way to work & thinking about it in its own merit, yeah it’s starting to grow on me. I can definitely picture the video we saw fitting with it, and it sounds dark but still SNSD.
Really hope the teaser track is one of the other new ones, though. There’s a difference between just teasing someone and teasing someone then not following through with it >_<
hmm…I reckon again it’s hitting mainstream and it’s going to be BIG just like OH!. But as far as personal taste…though I prefer it over OH! on first listen, because OH! was earlier and came with the new album after a long run of Gee I’m not feeling the excitement as much. Though the MV will probably make me go gaga regardless
