Before we go to me fangirling, here’s a video with English translations about Tiffany and her mom.
I think it was Hyoyeon‘s reaction, trying to hold back her tears, that really made this video more emotional. I tried not to focus so much on Tiffany but that totally didn’t work when I saw Hyoyeon… Then I saw Sunny‘s tear roll off her face D: Why does it have to look so drama-like? God, these girls are so human it makes me love them more.
This was the first time Tiffany ever spoke about her late mom on TV and she pretty much confirmed that her mom passed at a young age. The PD, not knowing the situation completely, felt bad about the whole thing but supposedly, Tiffany gave the okay to “please broadcast it”. In all honesty, as much as I joke about Tiffany, she is probably the member that has the most of my respect because she’s such a strong member. I just hope that she knows she’s not the only young girl in the Korean industry that’s lost her mom and there are plenty others she can talk to. Former member of KARA, Sunghee, and Wonder Girls‘ leader, Sunye both lost their mothers too and sing for them.
Anyway, my reaction for those of you who care:

I’ve never seen Seobaby give so much emotion while performing. I think they should stick a piano in front of her more often. But Sunny freaking rocked in the jazzy Gee❤ I expected more from Taeyeon in the rock version hahah same goes for Tiff. But whatever, it was fun. This performance is what made me realized why Don Jess choose Tiff as her Lady. She’s good with people and the crowd ^^
Womanizer < Hollaback Girl :p Though I gotta say, when I heard them clap, I was so hopin for some steppin’ and maybe krumping… And I was SO hoping for Jessica to say “shit” XD haha I guess it’s a good and bad thing that she knows English. Poo. But man, I don’t download performances, but I am so downloading Hollaback Girl… Sunny’s voice, singing about bananas… Ahem.
Is it just me, or were there a lot of mistakes in Laarbasses? Oh well, awesome job Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, Yuri! I swear, when Yuri is involved in a dance solo, her moves always come out…sexier… than it should be.

watching this, it’s pretty much impossible not to cry. especially, when fany started to talk about her mom. hyoyeon knew what fany was about to say and just couldnt hold it in and im sure the other girls also knew. fany sure turned out to be a strong young woman. her mother would be proud!
oh gosh. fany sure knows how to make a million people cry. im sure her mom is very happy that fany’s having a good life with her eight sisters.
really good performances, and i feel glad Tiffany was able to talk about her mother.
I teared at the part were fany going to cry…even though i dun understand korean but it was very touching with all the huggings around … fany, we are always with you… stay strong! fighting!
This is why I love SNSD so. They give us so much insight into their lives and we can see what they’re feeling. It’s very touching to know that these girls do this for everyone without expecting anything in return.
I felt gutted when Tiffany cried, but gutted in a satisfying way. I wouldn’t have imagined it possible myself.
I honestly loved the jazzy “Gee”. Give us a full version of it please, SM! I want to listen to it over and over again, but then if I do that, I’ll get sucked into watching all of the videos again.
oh my goodness. i was seriously trying to be so strong… but as soon as fany’s voice cracked in the slightest— i just couldn’t hold it back.
and despite all of that, she still is the first to reach out and comfort others. i LOVE this girl. period.

i think it was Tiffany’s voice cracking and Hyoyeon really trying to hold back her tears that did it for me! I was basically crying along with them.

I agree with everyone that said it was the choking of Tiff’s tears that really got them, once she started to do that…dude my tears just rolled. Damn.

really love & respect her.
This is my first time watching the video and I instantly cried, tears fell down seconds after I clicked the play button. My mother passed away as well when I was very young and I can completely relate to Tiffany and I admire her courage for saying this, believe me, it is one of the hardest things to say what Fany just said, especially in a live broadcast and millions of people watching you. I respect her and I’m glad she’s got 8 sisters to help her and love her in a world where people get easily hurt by the media. She’s a real role model!!
