Girls’ Generation Enters Year-End Billboard Japan Hot 100 Chart

With 2011 coming to a close, Billboard has revealed its 2011 Year-end Charts. On the Japan Hot 100 chart, seven spots have been taken up by four different K-pop groups: KARA, Girls’ Generation, T-ara and TVXQ. Japanese idol group, AKB48, topped this chart with “Everyday Katchusha” and “Flying Get” in first and second place respectively. Girls’ Generation charted at 11th place with their song “Mr. Taxi”. “Gee” also found a spot in this chart at number 23. On December 9th and 10th, SNSD performed in Singapore for the third leg of their 2nd Asia Tour. On both nights, the Singapore Indoor Stadium was completely flooded with SONEs from all across Asia to see nine ladies do what they do best.

As you all know, SNSD’s 3rd Korean album “The Boys” is being repackaged as “Mr. Taxi!”  Unfortunately, there will not be any new songs on the repackaged album, however, the photos and jacket book will be completely different.  *Beware media heavy*

SMTown to release a 2011 winter album!

SMTown will be releasing a new winter album titled ‘The Warmest Gift‘ on the 13th of December! This will be SMTown’s 8th Winter Vacation album and the first since ‘Only Love‘ in 2007.

‘The Warmest Gift’ will feature KangTa, BoA, TVXQ, TRAX, Dana&Sunday (The Grace), Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, f(x), Jang Ri In, J-min as well as other SM artists.

There will be 11 tracks in total with 4 of them being remakes of famous carols such as “Sleigh Ride” and “Last Christmas”.

Girls’ Generation/ SNSD will have a solo song in the album titled ‘Diamond‘ which is said to be a winter-themed, ‘familiar sounding & luxuriously styled pop song’.
