On August 6th, one day after their fourth anniversary, SNSD were back on stage, wooing audiences at the 2011 CheongShim Music Festival.

The event was held at the Cheongpyeong Training Center under what is called the Tree of Love, and fittingly so, because our girls’ gave lovely performances of their hit songs, ‘Hoot’, ‘Run Devil Run’ and ‘Gee’.

Jessica the Style Icon!

Professional stylists featured on Korea’s tvN ENews program, recently created a list of top 40 idols according to their fashion; and topping the list for the best plain-clothes fashion was none other than Gorjess Sica!

With 35% of the votes, Jessica’s fashion was regarded as one that women wished to imitate the most, for being both girly and chic. Professional stylist Lee Hyunbum complimented:

Jessica dresses really well, and has a good understanding of that certain style. I think she is the best within Girls’ Generation.

My standing? I think all the girls’ are pretty fashionable, but there is no denying that Sica rocks the fashion world! Click here and here to see what I mean!

Other idols that made the top five were Davichi’s Kang Minkyung, B2ST’s Junhyung, T-ara’s Hyomin, and miss A’s Suzy respectively.

Most Worthy of International Recognition!

In a recently conducted survey, Girls’ Generation was voted as the K-pop stars most deserving of recognition outside of Korea.

From the 26th of July until the 2nd of August, a weeklong poll asked: “Which K-Pop Hallyu Star is Worth Overseas Recognition?” Girls’ Generation trumped the poll by garnering an outstanding 43.7% of the votes, that’s 83,705 out of the 191, 674 who voted!

One fans’ comment on the results:

Having Girls’ Generation in a survey is pointless because they’ll win.

So true, fellow SONE, so true.

For those keeping score, SM Labelmate Super Junior took the 2nd spot with 26% of the votes, followed by JYJ (8%), TVXQ (5.4%) and KARA (5.4%) taking 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively.

With the K-pop Hallyu Wave gradually spreading across the globe, it’s great to see that our girls’ are leading the pack!

A Seohyun Selca!

Following in the footsteps of her unnies, our precious maknae Seohyun has posted a selca of herself traveling on an airplane:

Looking fresh and pure, where she was going is anyone’s guess…

Now that Seobaby has joined the selca craze, who’s next? Hyoyeon, Sunny and Yoona, get those cameras out!

EDIT: It has been pointed out that this photo was most likely taken whilst Seohyun was travelling to Phuket with the other girls’, in order to film the AAGG DVD, last year.

I pulled out my copy just to make sure and on page, wait the thing doesn’t have page numbers grrr.. Anyway,  within the first couple of pages (the airport section) other photos of Seohyun on a plane wearing the same top can be seen.

In conclusion, this post is fail. My apologies. Still nice to see a picture of Seohyun though, new or old.
