On February 22nd, the first ever Gaon K-Pop Awards were held in Seoul.
Taeyeon MCed this show with Joo YoungHoon which went well for the girls.
They came out with two awards! First, the “Oricon Chart Special Award” for topping the charts for their first Japanese album. They also won the “Album of the Year” for the 4th quarter for “The Boys” (the award was broken up into four winners, one per quarter). Take a look at Yoona (and Taeyeon’s) acceptance speech below (turn CC on for English subs). Unfortunately, none of the other girls were able to make it due to their busy schedules. Yoona even noted this in her speech that she wasn’t used to accepting awards by herself and how far away Taeyeon was from her. Awww how cute :P.
Congrats to our girls stylist, Seo SooKyung for winning the best stylist award at the ceremony.

hope Taeyeon’s toe is better now…she must have been hurting and in pain a lot because from I read on facebook and twitter, she was sitting down whenever she had the chance offscreen… 😦
but hehehe, she and Yoona were so cute going back and forth with the acceptance speeches ^^
