Taeyeon has been chosen to MC the first ever “Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards” presented by Gaon on February 22nd at 7PM KST. She will MC the show along with Joo YoungHoon, a popular MC in Korea.
The PD revealed, “We decided to choose Taeyeon, a member of Girls’ Generation, the leaders of Hallyu, and Korea’s representative composer Joo Younghoon, who has been active as an MC on other various shows, as MCs for the ‘First Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards’.”
This music awards show will give recognition to the most popular songs and artists of 2011. Hmm..I think our ladies qualify as being popular, don’t you? :P. Many of the top idol groups are expected to attend the event. It is to be held at the Blue Square, Samsung Card Hall in Seoul and will be aired live on KBS Drama, KBS Joy and DAUM.
