Girls’ Generation has just released their latest video for ‘Mr.Taxi’
The brand new release (embedded above) is actually a live concert performance of the song with audio playing over it. While many fans were hoping for a brand new music video featuring more spazz worthy moments, it appears the girls were unable to free-up their schedules to shoot an MV that could coincide with album promotions.
However fans who were hoping to see the girls donning their sexy taxi driver concept have no need to fret. Just last night on MNET Countdown, Girls’ Generation performed “Mr.Taxi” as a special comeback stage while donning their new purple and black outfits.

even though it would have been awesome to get a korean mv im kind of glad that they went for the live one… it gives our girls some rest and less stress cuz now they wont have to fit in mv filming… even though it is sad im glad teh girls can get some extra sleep with their saved time! SNSD jjang SNSD daebak SNSD hwaiting! oh and it makes me sad that hyoyeon unnie is still not getting camera time! I mean come on she looked awesome and they dont even give her more than 3 secs on the camera… sigh, well is still love you anyways! hyoyeon hwaiting!
I think the reason Yoona is not at the performance is because she’s shooting her new daily drama “Love Rain”. I understand that the girls were unable to make a new MV for the song, they already work nonstop and could use some rest. but I don’t think they should have just layed the track over a live performance. MVs are suppose to compliment the song and give listeners a better idea of what the artist(s) are trying to convey. The video is nice and shows off the great cherography, but it doesn’t really add to the song. Either way, the girls look great in the video and I hope all goes well with their Korean “Mr. Taxi” promotions!
