Update: video links to all four episodes of Star Life Theatre added. Really worth watching.
Have you ever wondered what the girl’s do during their time at school? Sooyoung, Yuri and Seohyun will be giving viewers a peak into their campus lives on KBS2’s ‘Star Life Theatre’.
On the November 21st episode, SNSD will be the main focus of the show, and there will be a special segment dedicated to showcasing the academic lives of Yuri, Sooyoung and Seohyun.
Seohyun is currently attending Dongguk University and is majoring in Acting as a 2nd year student. She joins some fine company as Actresses Han Hyo Joo, Shin Min Ah, and Park Min Young have all graduated from the school.
The show highlights some interesting tidbits about Seohyun’s normal university day. It was revealed that she goes to school without her managers and typically rides a taxi to save time. She eats and chats with her friends during lunch hours happily like any other student in her 20s.
In an interview from the show, one of Seohyun’s professors shared a quote from the maknae which displayed her academic spirit and attitude. According to the professor Seohyun had once said “Even if I get an F and I’m placed under academic probation, I will still work hard and attend school”. The segment particularly emphasized the fact that Seohyun was attending school as student Seo Joohyun.
Students Kwon Yuri and Choi Sooyoung are also featured together in the segment, as both are currently attending Chung-Ang University, majoring in Performing Arts and Theatre. Camera’s followed them around campus for a day and found that the girls were spending most of their time focusing on academics.
The film crew from the show revealed that Yuri and Sooyoung spent most of their idle time writing reports and studying. It was revealed that the two of them often skip meals to devote time to their academics. They explained that instead of sitting down for meals they preferred to pick up quick and portable snacks. Fans had spotted the girls filming for the show and gathered outside the convenience store. Trying not to cause a scene the girls quickly selected snacks and left.
The show will air on the 21st on KBS2 at 7:10 PM KST through the 24th, and will be sure to give more insight into the lives of Girls’ Generation.

woooow daebak!! can’t wait for watching this 🙂
wow they sure are hard-working.But why did they still need to attend university when they’re already idols ?
that after their singers carrer they could work somewhere 🙂 and being an idol is not a profession 😀 i think its important thing to graduate from the university 🙂 snsd is jjang anyway! they are sooo busy and still atending lessons
Another good reason to give our support to the 9 ladies: still pursuing academic excellence inspite of their heavy performance schedules ;).
To top it all off, they are not using their stage names there, thus showing us that they crave normalcy too, just like the rest of us “mere mortals” :D.
I salute you, Yuri, Sooyoung and Seohyun !!!
wow, these girls are amazing…they’re busy like crazy and still find time to study and concentrate on academics, and here I am, being lazy and taking things for granted…I need to study harder!
lol, anyways, looking forward to watching this documentary 🙂
seohyun friends is so lucky..
seeing snsd study so hard despite their busy schedule, it makes me to study even more harder…^^
SNSD, fighting! ^^
cute snsd members.. ♥
They really working hard in their life !
Nw I feel ashamed of myself 😛
their life are so crazy yet they still studying hard but mine is opposite.
I gotta study more n learn ‘The Sprits of GG’
Girls! Hwaiting !
I recommend that they must study more in speaking english. English is a common language of the world. And if they consider the market of the world, they must cope up or be competitive in terms of speaking english. As we notice, most of the very famous performing artist were very fluent in speaking english.
Im only, a concerned fan of SNSD.
Agree 100%! As a loving SONE in the U.S. who wants them to make more English songs! xD ❤
hardworking angels! ^^ god bless -_^
Wow… those 3 are hard-working as always.. 😀 hwaiting!! cant’ wait to watch this.. 😀
wow our girls are really hard working not just in stage and also to their studies……..hwaiting snsd ^_^
Uuu… I’ve always wondered how they went to school with their busy schedule haha
aahh~ this one is really inspiring. ♥
Why Yoona doesn’t include on the show? She has same academy with Seohyun. Maybe anybody could share information?
Good question januar74!
I can’t say for sure but I believe Yoona and Seohyun are in different years of their respective programs. Yoona graduated from High School a year earlier than Seohyun. Also Yoona may not have been an active student at the time of the filming. As we know Yoona is busy preparing for her drama so I wouldn’t be surprised if she took a semester off from school to focus on work. I would actually hope that she did, since she would need time to rest! Of course it could always be scheduling issues or the fact that Yoona didn’t want to share her academic life with everyone (which is her right of course).
Thank you very much Steve for your information. And hope Yoona could success in her education.
By the way, what about the other girls beside Yuri, Sooyoung, Seohyun & Yoona? are they taking academy too?
@Januar74 To my knowledge none of the other girls are currently attending University.
I feel sad for them.SooRi had to skip meals? please stay healthy girls.
seohyun ❤
Indeed, if they are producing more English version songs is amazing….but i just love their songs in korean language!….though i don’t understand….
SNSD..ALL OF YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!! KEEP IT ON!!
SNSD hwaiting!
I’m very very touched, even EP 3 & 4 are not subbed yet.
I hope you all nine girls would stick together till the end of time.
Yes, I believe they already become one big family, couldn’t seperate them
SNSD hwaiting!
I think fans should give the girls space for freedom, they really hope to be a normal student, and i think fans must respect that..
that was a good show 😀
Very interesting… I’ll wait for subs of 3 & 4
FYI, the subs for Ep.3 part 1 is already released by YuriKwonBlkPearl!
I think the other parts will be out soon. =D
I hope Yoona would share her academic life too. 😦
I love watching these… Very interesting to see what they do on a day and how hard they work.
So little time to eat or sleep… And not even really having a normal student life, since they are always being watched and followed. Quite impressive that they keep it up.
Stay healthy girls!
The 9 of them together are truly the crown jewel of Korea. They now have a major impact on the whole world, bringing together new fans with the old fans who are continually inspired by them every time. They are more than just idols. They started like the rest of the human race and made the decision to go the extra mile to get to where they are today. Despite their immense popularity, they’re still people like us who have lives off the stage and do ordinary things like us. Girls’ Generation making history, Girls’ Generation for the present, and Girls’ Generation paving the way to the future!!!!!!!!! :):):):):):):):):)
