SO! In tonight’s episode I get to hang out with some of the lovely boys on the staffing team and the Aegyo Master.
And in true guy fashion this podcast is short and straight to the point. (No girly feelings and unnecessary details.)

The next soshicast, i’m… MANNING UP MY VOICE -__-“‘ if that even makes any sense.
Pardon the “FIRST!” spam, didn’t restrain myself quite well.
Anyway, so… Greeentee’s the new head-honcho now? The successor to Boss Lady, eh? Hope things are going swell for ya.
I dislike babies at this point in time.

I do believe that SNSD lipsynched at the VMAJ. It’s kinda obvious because it sounded perfect and exactly like the recorded version. And a really easy way to figure out if it was lipsynched or not is by listening to Seohyun sing. She usually struggle with breathing and singing when live. Usually, her voice will sound lower and you can also really hear her breathing. And it was not the case at the VMAJ. But let’s face it, SNSD has been lipsynching more since Mr.Taxi. And from listening to fancams, they did a lot of lipsynching in the Japanese tour as well. Their solos were also live. Probably their Korean songs as well. But I’m highly incertain of their Japanese songs.
I also believe VMAJ performances were lip-synced, it sounds totally flawless if not identical to the CD and even though it has a live echo, it still sounds too perfect to be live. I’m not trying to bring down SNSD, just speaking objectively. People will bash them for it, haters gonna hate, not gonna bother me because they laid every ounce of energy they had out there and executed the choreography to perfection.
I suspect the reason they’ve been lip-syncing more is because they had to learn a lot of new songs in a foreign language with many new dance routines in a very short amount of time. Plus the tour and the TV appearances put a lot of strain on them, so it’s a calculated decision to lip-sync some of the songs and just concentrate on the dance performance for concert purposes. However, they did not lip-sync ballads like Let It Rain and Born to Be a Lady during the concerts. We sometimes take SNSD for granted and forget how difficult their job is, even the best of the best needs help some times.
If they lip-synced at the VMAJ, how can you explain Taeyeon’s notes while singing the “Don’t wanna say goodbye” part in Mr. Taxi? 🙂 Review the video please. )

I think it was quite obvious that soshi lip-synced during their the great escape and mr. taxi performance.. we all know that the girls can sing fairly well live. But, their singing in the VMAJ was just perfect, no missed notes, and everything! although they lip-synced we have to credit the girls’ amazing number. They gave their all in the choreography. They showed their energy through their active movements.. And the energy they exhibited was the reason why i downloaded an HD clip.. hehe.. 😀

Oh I watched VMAJ live on my own TV 😀 I believe they lip-synced Great Escape because when I was watching, it seems like I’m playing the song on my MP3 but when they switched to Mr Taxi, Taengoo’s first line was alr obvious that they are not lip-syncing. There was a huge change in the song volume and I can hear the mic hehe ^^
