Well, it looks like our 9 ladies have hit another jackpot win with their recent SM Town Paris performance…
One more step towards their aim for dominating the music scene of the world.
A video of Girls’ Generation’s “Tell Me Your Wish” (better known as “Genie”) performance at the SM Town concert in France on June 10th received over 1,500,000 views on Youtube for the period of June 12th-13th, making it the most-viewed video around the world.
The recorded performance was also the most viewed video in Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, France, Italy, and 20 other countries, ample evidence that the K-Pop (or Hallyu) wave has began to spread beyond Europe to the rest of the world, after the Paris SM Town concert.
Together with netizens who directly viewed the video via YouTube, Girls’ Generation’s “Tell Me Your Wish” performance video has also been viewed through smartphones, in addition to being spread across various portal sites and channels.
Notable was the fact that many views were from North America, Canada, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, as well as Asian countries.
Some statistics that emerged were that females who viewed the performance video ranged in age from 13 to 24 years, while the males were mainly in the 45 to 54 age group range.
Korean viewer fans consisted of females not yet in their 20’s and samchon fans in their 30’s or older.
Well, it looks like the oldies are still the goodies here when it comes to making new SONES around the world :D. Congratulations ladies !!!
Here’s the video link of the performance for those who want to re-live the experience again ;):

world domination yo. SINGAPORE! -fan girl screams-
wohoo..soshi..fighting!!!
Great accomplishment, but it’s kinda sad that this video was marred by a bunch of stupid antis accusing SNSD of lip-syncing (so what if they lip-sync one song!?) and giving SNSD a lot of undeserved thumb downs.
I thought ALL performances in Youtube (SmTown) are lip-synched?
No, SHINee and TVXQ’s performances were live. But SuJu lip-synced, not sure about f(x).
TIFFANY!!<3 OMO!
CONGRATZ!!! 😀 😀 😀
SNSD ❤ = world domination baby~!
WOW at that age range for men…almost seems as if im the only 21 year old watchin em haha. And im American at that, that listens to mostly rap and hip hop. Pretty interesting seeing peoples faces when they hear SNSD comin outta my car. SNSD FIGHTING!
SNSD Fighting! I’m a 23 year old male and I agree with the ‘WOW at that age range’ comment! It’s great that the girls are getting the recognition they deserve!
Erm excuse me, link people to the correct video then the number of views will continue to rise.
You can find my videos of the show on my youtube channel , a lot of amazing things happened to me ! I still can’t believe it! lol http://www.youtube.com/user/thebritneyman?feature=mhee
“while the males were mainly in the 45 to 54 age group range.”
Dad… I know what you were watching on youtube yesterday ;D
Totally jjang and happy to see the words “canada” pop up a lot 🙂
and anyone realizes taeny totally in their own worlds during the dance break part of the song ;D
HAHAH YEAH!! it was awesome ! (:
lol you guys also note that on youtube alot of people don’t really tell the truth about their age n stuff so that is probably inaccurate lol. on my youtube im 5 years older so ya.
Yoong really is very pretty! but Soo, ah she is just AMAZING!
Much respect goes to 20 year old American male SONEs like me.
^~^ couldn’t help it but crack a smile when i read “Well, it looks like the oldies are still the goodies here when it comes to making new SONES around the world.” From this you can just tell how immensely popular and see how large SoShi’s fan-base really is. (Quite potential the whole world) KUDOS DAEBAK JJANG!!!!
Another milestone for the ladies to add to their amazing repertoire.
Unfortunately, along with the antis, there were a number of seemingly ignorant and puerile “kids” who tarnished the quality of a good video by contributing negative comments to the discussion. What’s even sadder is that YT is rife with these trolls.
Nevertheless, congratulations to SNSD for being able to propel themselves into the “international spotlight”.
Hopefully, they’ll garner even more attention than before and increase the global awareness of Korean Pop culture and music.
Go Soshi Go!!! Nice!
