watching this in 1080p on my 22″ LCD is such a treat ^_^
I watched the first stream and it is quite good albeit a bit blurry. The conference opened with the Visual Dreams MV, followed by the girls appearing in an assortment of grey/silver dresses. They performed HOOT live and then a short announcement was made before they closed with a live performance of Visual Dreams. Apparently k-sones have already completed fan chants, or at least they have a coherent guideline of chants.

I must disagree. She’s supposed to turn the other way and touch hands with Yoona and Tiffany (just like Sooyoung does with Taeyeon and Sunny on the right side.)
If you watch tiffany’s reaction, it’s obvious that this is unexpected! (Lol at Tiffany’s reaction!)
I’ve been in video production before and even low funded teams will go through the video’s a hundred times to make sure no mistake is made. There is NO WAY SME and Intel suddenly dropped the ball. The whole thing is scripted, Tiffany’s reaction is scripted along with Jessica’s mistake. It might be possible that Sica made a mistake, they thought it was funny and allowed it to be edited in, but I doubt it. These MV’s take hours and hours to create, the girls do the dance in front of cameras multiple times and the best parts are edited in.
and tbh I don’t find fany’s reaction anything special…all she did was smile at sica’s
“mistake” which is hardly unexpected. Unexpected would be if she jumped or stopped her choreography.
I’m not doubting that the video team caught it. Obviously with hours of editors working on these shots (my goodness, look at the background!) they surely caught Jessica’s turn.
You’re probably right that they left it in, possibly as a inside joke or something. I just think Tiffany looks awesome in this video, so any mild reaction is magnified 🙂

i love the song but the choreography probably needs some improvement…it was pretty messy at some parts and there were a few mistakes too (0:27 being the most obvious…haha in case u dunno wat i talking abt i m refering to Sica…haha Fany seems to be telling Sica she turned the wrong way…the mistake was pretty cute thou…)…the editors could haf done beta…
The mistake is scripted and done on purpose. The choreography “mistake” is done to be funny. They don’t need improvement because they were told to do it for fun. The editors would have 100% caught it because they have to watch the video’s multiple times and also edit all those scenes in and also edit all the backgrounds in too.

I really like MV and the song. Bubbly, good instrumentals, pretty visuals. Though they’re good dancers, I wish they were more synchronized for this dance. I think the robot dance parts would have been better with more stiff movements and synchronization. They still did well, though. ^__^

Despite not being able to watch the live stream yesterday, the MV is finally out for all of our viewing pleasures.
Perhaps the best part of this post are the fan-cameras’ of each lady, you can’t help but smile and feel at ease with Taeyeon when she does so happily and Tiffany with her heart-stopping eye-smiles and head nodding. Along with the soothing music in the videos’.

That mv was terrible, does Intel really want to use this internationally? I find it hard to believe that a company that made $43 Billion dollars last year could approve such a lackluster and cheap looking promotional video.
The only thing that’s good about this video is that SNSD looks amazing, but that’s nothing new they always look amazing.
which country of origin are you pulling this info from? keep in mind that this is the Korean Intel company, not the US one and yes they are headed by different bosses.
The US Intel is killing the market in USA, but…..I’m pretty sure the Korean Intel company is not doing as well. This isn’t a worldwide promotion, there will be no snsd promotion in any other country except korea for intel.
Intel is a multinational corporation, so I’d expect their subsidiaries to share resources with the main company. Otherwise those tiny subsidiaries would never have enough money to promote in an area where they had little to no market share.
Which is my main point, why the cheap looking mv from Intel and SME? It’s not like their hurting for money or talent. Even that banana milk commercial from years back looked better than this.

I think they could use the chorus for a USA ad, but they would need to up-tempo and de-cutesy the song and pick up the dance steps a bit as well. Maybe even make it a bit more hip hop -more like the BoA songs that made it on the charts here.
Well I’m not sure if you were expecting 3D space ships and light sabers or whatever super high tech eye candy you had in mind. But I find the simple and colorful background working very well for the theme in conjunction with SNSD. The focus should be on the girls anyway since that’s where they spend the big dollars on. And I really don’t see where in this video that was so terribly produced for you to lash out on them like that, maybe you expected a little too much? Btw I think the video is suppose to be for Asia only, since it doesn’t make sense to use a Korean song for the US market.
I agree with the simple and colourful background opinion. The MV was a showcase of soshi, not computer graphics, the background was to look good and not deter from the main subject.
I’m not lashing out at SNSD at all, I’m just mad at the cards they were dealt with. Just about every SNSD promotion I’ve seen starting from the original Maple Story commercial up to now has always had good production values. Except for this one, I feel that it looks cheap, it’s fine if you don’t agree with me.
As far as international goes, I was under the impression beforehand that this promotion was only meant for East Asia, but to be honest I’d rather they just keep it in Korea if this is the best Intel and SME can come up with.

I LOVE the MV regardless of whether it was technically “superior” or not, compared to other “professional” MVs on the Web 😉 !!! Why ? Because the GIRLS are in it and it looked like they were having LOTS OF FUN there 😀 😀 😀 !!!! Let’s hope Intel Korea “ships” this MV to the other Asian countries for promotional purposes for their products :D. After all, why does only South Korea get to enjoy such “COOL” promotions ‘cos I believe Intel products are used all over Asia (and the rest of the world too 😉 ) !

A lot of martial artists use the term core the same way, and some even talk about the core as the thing that connects your entire body to move around and generate power….notice that none of these things are sexual in any way. this promotion is restricted to korea
there is no way usa is using a kpop song to promote…this is only for korean intel and possibly other markets that are already exposed to snsd which is unlikely cause the song is korean, the only proper thing is if they translate it to another language, I assure you USA intel will hear no wind or have any advertisement of soshi in their promotion, cause it’s a different branch. Do you know leonardo dicaprio? of course you do, but did you know that he did promotions for a tyre company in Japan? this promotion was not seen anywhere outside of Japan and this is exactly what will happen to the soshi intel promotion.
plus, the core thing is an inherent intel catchphrase. Intel is famous for using the word core, from intel core to core2due to quadcore. The lyrics an be attributed to just a spin on the phrase core as the main parts of the computer, so with that hind site, “get into my core” gathers a different meaning as a tech joke, and as humans any single phrase can be taken anywhere, so basically to not take risks means to do nothing,cause there’s always someone that can spin your words. I’m sure there are people here (myself included) that are old enough to know the sexual innuendo but we don’t care for it cause we inherently don’t need to draw attention to it, cause drawing attention to the sexual aprt is what makes it bad instead of looking at it from another angle.

Hate to start all technical, but when speaking of anatomy, the core more correctly refers to the diaphragm (the muscle) or the interior of the area where the abs are (isn’t there a yoga, ehh, Hindi term for it?). (Interestingly, I couldn’t find a dictionary definition for core that indicates anything in the region at all.) Figuratively it refers to the innermost, or most important part, the center, things like that. In women, the connection is made to her sexual organs due, yes, to their proximity but mostly because we find any excuse to sexualize women like that. So to say, the people who’re going to talk like that about the lyrics may not need more ammunition, but it’s not like they weren’t going to do it and think themselves clever anyway – one of the reasons I first checked SNSD out was because I was titillated by the lyrics to Boyfriend. And honestly, reading the translations, there are other parts of the song (which are actually more oblique) that make me feel more strongly than the core parts. But of course, I understand that your concern has more to do with people who would only know the “get into my core” part, which is actually said only once – though earlier in the song, they do say “Deep love core,” which tends to lend credence to your concern. But I don’t think this is quite strong enough to reach the level you’re talking about.
Also, though somewhat removed from the culture, Jessica and Tiffany have a familiarity with the American. They seem willing to accept the interpretation of “core” as “emotional center” or whatever. Perhaps they (all) have a lingering sadness deep inside over their ongoing exploitation by their handlers, but lacking specific evidence of anything to suggest that, I’m satisfied leaving the Girls to their own consciences. I mean, Jessica sang “Barbie Girl,” and now that I’ve actually ever heard that song, the lyrics… are suggestive, and that may be putting it mildly.
Your concern for the Nine is admirable, but I hope you won’t take this one to heart. And I know the Asiamerican has a uniquely difficult lot in life, but try also to build up the positives in your own life. Bruce Lee was once mistaken for a chauffeur on set and was asked if it bothered him – his answer was something like “If I let that bother me, I wouldn’t be Bruce Lee.”
Finally even if you don’t agree with me, I hope you find I’ve given your concerns satisfactory consideration.

I am simply concerned for our SNSD image because they are on the boarder line of maturing into women-hood and I don’t want their innocence to be tainted by some exploitation through their handlers as you mentioned. I’m more concerned in this case because it is an Intel commercial, and can go global, and I really really hope Intel can take this commercial to a global media as long as they change some parts of the English lyrics. I am very sure Jessica and Stephanie know about this and since they don’t have any power over it, they had to follow along with it. Being Asiamerican (well, I’m also 1/4 French, which makes it worse), I’ve had my shares of difficulties through injustice and prejustice, but that’s nothing because I can always fight it, and have. If my image was tainted because I said something in public as a celebrity such as ‘Let me guide you with my joystick’, I would probably never recover that from being acknowledged as a playboy. I do agree with you on almost all the parts 🙂
