😦 Only Genie? Darn. Well now we know for sure the girls are debuting in the Japanese market with Genie and from the looks of it, the Japanese fans are really diggin’ the Genie concept.
I remember reading somewhere that the girls will continuously release singles but only promote each of them for a short period of time. I think til the end of this year? Course that was just a RUMOR.

im getting it for sure, but i really dont like that whole random card thing they’ve been doing lately. You’re either very happy you got the card you want, or very sad that you didnt. Especially, for Japanese albums, they’re a bit more pricey which makes it difficult to buy several copies in hopes of collecting all the cards.
actually, anybody know where to pre-order the single?
limited edition (im guessing it’s similar to first press) are gone so fast because so many ppl want it and they only make a small number of them. i missed out last time with the MV collection, dont want to miss this

Well Genie is the safest choice to go with instead of creating a new concept and new song, I mean they save money on clothes, the already know the choreo, and we know Genie is definitley a hit.

SNSD recently requested for netizens to take care of any edited, suggestive photos of them online.
SNSD submitted a complaint requesting for 92 netizens to remove any edited photos of their faces on nude bodies, as well as any other suggestive photos. The detective on this case revealed on the 29th, that SNSD’s petition has taken full effect on those persons.
It was discovered that 75 of the 92 netizens were underaged, also making this the majority’s first offense.
Their management stated, “SNSD requested for those netizens who released these edited photos to take care of them,” confirming this case.
It has also been revealed that SM Entertainment also filed a complaint to the Kyunggi-do Yongin police station for these edited photos of the girls.

What I don’t quite get is have they re-recorded Genie in Japanese? or are they just re-shooting a video of the same version of the song for the japanese audience?

@jocke, I’m pretty sure they shot a brand new video for their Jap debut. Same song, but they still shot another video. If I remember correctly, TVXQ also has 2 different music videos of Rising Sun (? or a different song) for Korea and Japan.
