OMG! Tiffany look so cute! 😀
awww. that’s really nice that they all still have time to be so devoted to their religion and help others. ^_^
Thats really nice to read 🙂
And tiffany does look very cute
As a christian myself i do not think SONE should become/join christian just because there idols is christian. we worship God and support idols but we do not worship them(idols)… so goin to church because idols is there is like…
Agree much:)
wrong motivation. kekeke..
yooona is like in every club ❤
love her
A little disheartened to see people say things like I should join because SNSD is there, but to see idols unafraid to embrace faith is great. I just hope its not another publicity stunt cooked up by the nuts who work at the top of SME lol.
im not a Christian , but i think its good for people [no matter what their religion is] to devote their time to god.
are all snsd members christians? i thought it was only sooyoung, tiffany and yoona
not all of them are christians, as far as i know Taeyeon’s an atheist.
and wow, it’s really nice to see them doing such. they know they owe their stardom to God =)
As far as I know…
All of them are christians except taeyeon…
N taeyeon isn’t atheist…She’s agnostic.
She prays to God and attended Christian school but she has no religion. XP
oh really?? i hope taeyeon is a christian.. i have read somewhere that she is a christian…can anyone help me with the truth?
i hope taeyeon is a christian :((
Now I know who are Christians like me in the K-Pop world ^^
Me too!!!
It’s nice to know that some of these famous artists are Christians, but I think it would be better if they share our same faith, Christianity, with their fellow members of their group.
Yeah, you’re right, but God can use that thing you’re saying to make people believe in Jesus as their personal Saviour, and at the same time, correcting their motive…
Pastor Jesse Torres, for example, he was just attending Bible studies because of delicious merienda, but God used it to fulfill His purpose for Pastor Jesse. Just like that.
It’s amazing that these busy idols are still devoting to God 🙂 and not forgetting Him because they are “famous”. Fighting!
it’s always touchy when it comes to religion…
Oh lol i didnt know they were christians, im not that religious myself~
Weeee ChoiSooYoung she is really charming ^_^
good thing to hear there are some artists who are God-fearing like me and it is a some kind of motivation for me to love them more, and support them more….
go guys!!! keep up the good work!!!
fighting!!!
=D
SNSD fighting + JESUS ❤ FIGHTING! Haha, this is a pleasant surprise 🙂
JESUS+snsd=all 🙂
snsd-JESUS=nothing
isn’t that minji of 2NE1 in the middle of yoona and sooyoung? WOHOOO!!!!! they’re friends!!!
Anyway, keep fighting for our faith!!!
Go, MoonMiEn!!!
This is incredibly disturbing.
It takes very little time and effort these days to find out that Jesus is a fictional character based on other fictional characters, such as the Egyptian god Horus, so it’s especially disturbing to see a group of young people being sucked in like this. Especially young people that I like.
I know this is a pro-Christianity website, so I suspect this comment won’t be posted even though I’m just calmly stating my thoughts on this article, just like everyone else.
incredibly disturbing would be you jumping to conclusions.
“I know this is a pro-Christianity website”
What?… I’m athiest bro, and I wrote this post. where in snsdkorean do you see that it’s a pro christian site? this is just reported news of events, not an opinionated coverage. All staff of snsdkorean are multi religious and multi cultural, we don’t let it get in the way of our passions.
“Jesus is a fictional character based on other fictional characters, such as the Egyptian god Horus, so it’s especially disturbing to see a group of young people being sucked in like this. Especially young people that I like.”
Belief and faith are two things that are not synonymous with bigotry and preaching, I’d rather have young kids believe in fake deities if it allows them as human beings to grow as upstanding people, these people don’t preach and get in other peoples faces, they use their religion to become good citizens and good people and do right by themselves, that’s better than an atheist who knows the truth but rejects people opinions based on their beliefs and not their IQ. Look at how the religion shapes the person not what the person believes in. Religion should come last when looking at a person unless the religion changes the person for the worse, I don’t see any of these people preaching on the sidelines or refusing to talk to fans because of the nature of their religion.
“incredibly disturbing would be you jumping to conclusions.”
————————–
It’s not me jumping to any conclusion; it’s me stating that I find it disturbing.
“where in snsdkorean do you see that its a pro christian site”
————————–
I’ve only had three comments rejected on this site.
All three of the comments were entirely appropriate but weren’t so very flattering to Christianity.
I primarily added the ‘pro-Christianity’ bit hoping it might keep the comment from being rejected.
“Belief and faith are two things that are not synonymous with bigotry and preaching”
————————–
Correct.
“Id rather have young kids believe in fake deities if it allows them as human beings to grow as upstanding people”
————————–
Raising kids on biblical lies isn’t a good way to produce good people. It’s a good way to produce people who have false beliefs, about the world and its workings, nearly permanently embedded in their head.
To produce truly good people, you just need to raise kids with teachings and examples of honesty, empathy and compassion; not lies.
“they use their religion to become good citizens and good people and do right by themselves”
————————–
They don’t ‘use’ the religion; they’re brainwashed into the religion. They are a component of it. Whether or not they turn out to be a good person is dependent on many things. Being brainwashed into a Christian religion certainly doesn’t guarantee the production of a good person, or even increase the chances for that matter.
” … thats better than an atheist who knows the truth but rejects people opinions based on their beliefs and not their IQ.”
————————–
I don’t really have anything to say about this. I’m not promoting Atheism; I’m commenting on how disturbing it is to see celebrities that I like being made to believe lies about the Bible and Jesus even though it now takes so little time and effort to learn the truth about the Bible and Jesus.
“these people dont preach and get in other peoples faces” … “I dont see any of these people preaching on the sidelines”
————————–
Choi Siwon, Tiffany and Sooyoung – to name a few – are all known for trying to spread their Christian beliefs to other celebrities, and for posting/writing Christianity-promoting tweets and comments in hope that they will influence fans.
They’re somewhat careful about it in order to avoid getting in trouble with their management, but they still do it.
Most Christians, including those behind the MoonMiEn meetings, were brought into Christianity by people who believe that it is important to try to get as many people as possible to believe what they believe about the Bible and Jesus.
They are brought into the religion by people who believe in the importance of spreading Christianity and they are taught that it is important that they spread Christianity as well.
Also, Christian celebrities who are looking to spread Christianity, are more likely to using their pocketbook.
If they do any hands-on preaching, it will usually be to friends, family members and other celebrities.
Siwon, Tiffany and Sooyoung are actually part of a minority that is willing to use their celebrity influence to promote Christianity to fans directly.
“Religion should come last when looking at a person unless the religion changes the person for the worse”
————————–
Yes. If a person uses their time, resources or influence to try to get others to believe the religious lies that they’ve been duped into believing, that person’s religion deserves some forefront attention.
“… or refusing to talk to fans because of the nature of their religion.”
————————–
This is a strange choice for an example.
How many celebrities have you seen, of any religious background, that refuse to talk to fans because of their beliefs?
And, with all the horrible things caused by biblical beliefs, why would I be concerned about whether or not the biblical beliefs of these celebrities cause them to not talk to certain fans?
Karen… I don’t know why people like you think they have the right to tell other people they are stupid for believing in a so called fictional God…
I have atheist friends like you, and they are usually the ones that have the smallest IQ and have the worst jobs… because it’s usually arrogant idiots who think they are the only ones who are right and they have the right to look down on everybody else who doesn’t share their opinion.
People like you are the ones who act like they know Christianity better than anybody else just because they saw 2 or 3 so called documentaries about Egypt and Christianity… People like you, who don’t usually read a lot, don’t have a decent education, and think that just because they saw a documentary they are smarter than anybody else.
One thing any smart man should know is that you have to check both sides of the story before you come up with a personal answer, have you read the Bible in order to cast your personal opinion? Or are you just repeating like a brainless parrot what you’ve heard on tv? It’s people like you that make this world an easy place for manipulators… brainless fools who accept the media’s biased opinion just because it’s cool.
I have smart friends who don’t consider themselves Christians but respect the faith, because they actually read the Bible and they see the value it brought this world… and funny thing is that all think that there has to be a God, not absolutely Christian, but a God that somehow has revealed itself through one religion or the other.
As for Tiffany and others who try to spread the faith??? What is the problem? They do it by personal example, by showing a Christian is moral and good…. At least they don’t try to express their personal belief like arrogant idiots like you do, by throwing shit and considering those who don’t think like you do to be idiots….
In conclusion people like you Karen, bring war and natzi regimes… ignorant, self centered, badly educated, intolerant people like you…. While Christians like Tiffany bring harmony.
Gherasim, you’re the one assuming things, he didn’t call anyone stupid. You are really the uneducated one here. You cannot spell properly, you cannot come up with coherent arguments and you resort to straw hat arguments. Firstly, people have low or high IQ, not small or large. Secondly, he/she didn’t use the word “idiots”, you did. Thirdly, most atheists read the Bible, judging from your comment, you don’t. Fourthly, the Bible brings little value to the world unless you consider crusades (“holy wars”) and brainwashing to be valuable. Lastly, Nazi regimes were led by Hitler who was a CHRISTIAN. You’re the ignorant, uneducated person that failed to understand other people arguments and act intelligent.
God really has purposes ….
I hope God will use those idols for the world to see He is our Lord and personal saviour
lol
I am proud to have brothers and sister in Christ like them. of course all glory to be given to God.
i am pleased to see that they do not forget God despite all their success.
may they continue to spread the love of God to fans, believers or non-believers alike. and be good examples to them, teaching the right values to uphold.
Perfect ❤
